Bought that at the weekend, not had a chance to play with it yet. Was quite interested in what they would be doing with the text side of things.
Ther's a new update of VS to go with it, and it looked like it had cleared up a couple of minor issues I was having.
I cant remember if I mentioned it already but Tooll3, which is a node/module type video application, has a new version and a rename, so is now TiXL 4.

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

do you mean the text layer? or text editing somehow?whyterabbyt wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 10:19 am Was quite interested in what they would be doing with the text side of things.
one thing id like for the text layer, is to have the same "mix" options as other layers, the add, subtract, reverse subtract...

No, the layer itself. The use of text 'pools' for example, I dont think I'd properly gotten that.vurt wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 5:42 pmdo you mean the text layer? or text editing somehow?whyterabbyt wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 10:19 am Was quite interested in what they would be doing with the text side of things.

its easy enough to fill the pool, in the text area, where you choose font/size etc, below the text window, theres plus and minus, to add another line.
my issue is controlling it, ok if i use two, flip back and forth with a square wave.
but other waves, i always end up with one line, being there for ages, then the others blink past.
even more weirdness if you use audio input

I'm really looking forward to exploring VS2 now that I have a computer that can handle it and OBS at the same time. The laptop I was using for streaming was overheating, so I'd put an ice pack underneath it to cool it down during my streams, lol.

thanks for posting these
ive been doing the things he does in these videos, so can't say im learning new things, but i can say, ive learned a lot about why i do these things and why they work
ok, the "left most image is on top" was kind of a mind blowing moment that makes everything click! ah now i get it
so i did also learn that.
