To sum it up:
Is it a perfect emulation of the Prophet 600 with some extra cool options that makes it better than the Original?
Yes.

Is it a JP 8000/8080 emulation?
No.

Why you gotta bully so much.

Please add granular synthesis to this Prophet 600 emulation, thank you.

Maybe. It looks very similar and if the DSP is more advanced, it could well sound better, too. I like that it's a one-page GUI but it's kinda ugly, so I hope it's skinnabvle.

I find it really frustrating that I can't watch Netflix on this synth. Even my old DVD player does that!

Turn off the reverb, i think the reverb in this synth does it a disservice, the similar verbs in these synths, make it sound similar so I understand what you're saying, but turn the fx off, and you have yourself a great emulation

then lock it in off

I'll be watching to see if he does a black friday sale this year, hope

Doesn't sound like Dune 3 to me at all. No more than any subtractive synth sounds like any other.

BONES wrote: Mon Nov 10, 2025 12:29 am Just to hijack the thread for a minute, JP6K is really good.
And it will be obsolete once JE-8086 is released.
will be ? It's already release for donator

BONES wrote:The other thing is that Proxima's CPU usage is, as usual for Synapse, extremely low for the sound quality on offer. I haven't thought to do a direct comparison but I can if anyone is interested.
I actually am interested. Not possible to do that with demo if i want to run same patch and see how many instances i can squeeze out.

OK, I'll try and set something up today.

How original

I’m still lost on why a pro 600 clone and a jp8000 are even in the same sentence. I’m sorry I guess I missed something here.
Anyways any ideas if Synapse Audios participating in Black Friday sales this year ?

What's ironic is that this video has the same issue that many videos of real hardware have, where everything sounds so big and analog that it all mushes together. Anyway, I guess that's a testament to how good of an emulation Proxima is. :D
