Looks like a future classic:

FutureVerb was designed from the ground up to give you the most transparent and realistic reverbs we've ever made. 8 years of research and development have gone into creating new and innovative algorithmic reverb topologies. The FutureVerb reverb modes are as close to perfect as we have ever heard.

And, since we don't actually believe in perfection, we added a colorful and powerful Echo section that can add color and warmth, or keep things as clean as you wanna be.

With 8 original Reverb modes and 12 flexible Echo modes, FutureVerb gives you the sonic power you need to create your own future.

Funny, seems like I just started a thread looking for something exactly like this and here it is from Valhalla. Even though I found something that suits my needs, FutureVerb will be an insta-buy.

My only initial thought (without trying it yet) for Sean is if there will potentially be a parallel routing option in the future? The manual shows Rev>Echo and Echo>Rev options, but it would be great to have a parallel mode as well IMO, unless the capability is already there and I'm just missing it.

Lame.

If Valhalla actually wanted to make a "transparent and realistic" reverb, it would have 3D metric room dimensions that calculate reflections through ray-tracing, instead of simple delays derived from a percentage based size.

Just what the hell is a 50% sized room, anyways? 50% of what?

It's 50% of a full sized room.

I think this reverb is more of a one-stop-shop for those who don't already have lots of plugins. I had a quick go with it probably wouldn't add anything to my collection, except perhaps a quick workflow which encourages mixing delays with reverb.

Whose "full sized room"? What are the dimensions? Can I change them?

It's about time "transparent and realistic" reverbs leave behind 1970s reverb designs that were made to run on an 8-bit 3 MHz Intel 8080 processor.

Just record your living room (or bathroom) impulse response and use a convolution reverb to use it, that will make 100 % of a known room, then just add EQ, autotune and flangers to taste.

His room might not be full sized though.

Seriously though, I expected a bit more from a reverb that calls itself "FutureVerb" than a 1970s digital reverb design paired with a 1970s digital delay.

Every time I see Size, Level, and Density on a so-called "realistic" reverb I get stabby. Instead we should be seeing Height, Width, Depth, and Absorption.

Valhalla are up there with the best reverb designers in the business.

Making a good sounding reverb is far from trivial and this sounds phenomenal to me.

Calling a plugin unrealistic because it doesn’t simulate the exact dimensions of an imaginary room is like complaining your synthesizer isn’t a real 12-foot cathedral organ. Reverbs aren’t IKEA furniture. You don’t assemble them with a tape measure. But I suppose nothing will ever live up to the reverb inside your head.

You didn’t even load the demo. You just reflex-reacted the moment it wasn’t from your personal temple, as you always do. If you realized how much you’re exposing yourself here, you wouldn’t have hit submit.

Tried it quickly on synths and piano - sounds great and the echo section adds loads of new possibilties. Gonna test further next couple of days for the final decision as I am well covered with Relab, Liquidsonics and Softube.

Not the best. Just the cheapest.

But I have the same complaints of synth patches that just stack sinewaves and call it a "pipe organ", which is precisely why I use Organteq. It physically models the pipes and wind-chest of a real 32' cathedral organ.
