JST EQ automation shortfall

I found this equaliser to be quite good. However, I found a problem automating it in my DAW. I use Logic Pro and the stock equalisers are easy to automate. For example to create a frequency sweep, you pick a frequency band and move it around while in "write mode" and the automation would be printed on the track automation. I could not manage to achieve this with the JST EQ. Anyone else that tried to do this?

Have you tried contacting JST? Could be that automation is disabled in JST EQ
