I wasn't offended at all, just stating that wouldn't be the way I would want it to work. The option to have it would be good, I'm certainly not saying it wouldn't be.trusampler wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 6:01 am You would hate that your sends are automatically set up for proper routing ? Wow, ok .. well it's working exactly how you want it now then enjoy.. Others who may have more complex routing to do, MAY just need it to work better, but sorry, wouldn't want to offend those who wouldn't rather have automatic routing.

Why? The Presonus feature request system is still in place and unchanged.thievedletter wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 1:08 am Of course, all of these suggestions were feature requests that are now in the landfill.

The death of the user forum, was the start of their lack of accountability. Alot of people saw this coming, I admit I didn't.
I just thought the good guys from baton rogue we're better than this.

EDIT: Also, it isn't remotely "the same" if I need a subscription to Pro+ to make a feature request. It's a joke. Most of the "top" requests are like 8 YEARS old.

I have a perpetual license and while I admit I didn’t complete my entry with clicking the submit button (where I might get an error because I’m not a Plus subscriber), I don’t see any restrictions, despite the fact that the introduction text says otherwise.thievedletter wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 10:55 pmWhich just means, still ignored.Crossinger wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 11:07 amWhy? Regarding the age of some top requests: sure, but that’s the fate of all feature request lists.

A "request" is simply that - a request. No promises, time limits or anything else attached or implied.
Been with these guys since 2011 - and I would estimate that 95% of what gets requested - never makes it to a meeting - never mind active development.
Any request needs to be logical and mesh perfectly with the overall development workplan for Studio One in any given year/period. Presonus isn't going to alter a defined 3 year work plan to redo the entire UI just to accommodate some request a guy made in 2017 - just because that single user thought it was a good idea at the time.
So if your expectations are something like - "I made a request - when exactly are you guys working on it?" - you may need to dial that expectation back - like way back.

I remember when Rick Naqvi and Jonathan Hillman would frequent amongst us common folk in the user forums from the old days. You want to talk about a shift change. Those we're the days when our voices ( customers ) actually mattered and they ( presonus ) we're actually concerned about our idea's and requests.
Rick was great, but he's gone now. https://www.instagram.com/p/C_b2KZtMBmT/?hl=ar
Fender is not the old Presonus we all fell in love with. the young innovative team from the past with fresh new exciting ideas. Neither is the current state of Presonus or Studio One, no matter how much loyalty I have towards them, Fender does not share that with us.

Agreed. Times have changed for sure...but that was also when Studio One was still in it's growth phase - trying to be everything to everyone and scraping for new users wherever Presonus could find themtrusampler wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 5:33 pmI remember when Rick Naqvi and Jonathan Hillman would frequent amongst us common folk in the user forums from the old days. That is not the case now - today this is about competition and profitablity. This is what happens when private equity comes calling:
The warm fuzzies from the past - are gone.

The system with FR and let people vote is not bad.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 5:08 pm

Overall problem is that not even every 10 000 users use the system at all.
- just an estimate from top voted FRs
So what would be needed, is that Presonus made email to every user out there and encourage to participate
- or make a survey on the top voted requests so everybody (or at least more) vote
- let's say top 50 voted or so
So bigger chance more people upgrade each major update.
It's not always the most active you should listen most to!!!!
I had 6 or 7 requests as I ran v4.x, but really had all those features in Sonar
- so why wait, I just dropped StudioOne
- sysex support, proper track templates with busses and all etc, all in Sonar
- and Sonar plays back all midi as recorded, not making automation of it all mandatory
- that was 3 I remember right up
I looked just now after BorisFX takeover Samplitude
- not even click baits on first page that I could see anymore
- just their plugins as before Magix Samp
Mackie got Tracktion(2015 or so), and waited for a couple of years for v2(not sure it came)
- then Jules bought that back as I recall
- bought v4 Tracktion and became paying betatester pretty much
Roland got Cakewalk, and sold to Gibson that dropped it some years later.
- Roland though did a pretty good job getting Sonar in most music stores here
It's not easy to takeover software.
So maybe Fender figure something out over time. It's just a year yet.
- but first move by Presonus seems all wrong in their policy
- no entry level product, and as it seems disappointment in promised updates

It is easy, the problem is these vulture capitalists want immediate returns on investment and have their own visions for the project that nobody else wanted

I am not saying the FR system is bad. It is IMO - outdated and tired now.
Just trying to pass along a hard reality check for those that somehow keep complaining about how "old" some requests are (as if that matters at all) and to those that clearly do not understand that making a feature request means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things.
All a FR really is - is just another idea added to a gigantic list of other ideas. Where ironically - the most important features (coded by Presonus developers when building Studio One) - most likely did not actually come from any ideas on this list at all.

Which is why I, very specifically, said TOP requests... I did not say FR made by a single user.Vocalpoint Studios wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 5:08 pmA "request" is simply that - a request. No promises, time limits or anything else attached or implied.

Frankly, your not-so-subtle implications that anyone that doesn't see things your way, must be stupid, is not furthering any conversation.
It's clear you work closely with people at Presonus and your opinions seem more like damage control for the company, than honest opinions.

Back in the old days - these FRs really did matter and many actually made the cut. Not so much anymore.thievedletter wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 10:54 pm Which is why I, very specifically, said TOP requests... I did not say FR made by a single user.
Frankly - your dislike for the product is very clear - practically every time you post. Why even bother with S1 if you are so bitter about it?thievedletter wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 10:54 pm Frankly, your not-so-subtle implications that anyone that doesn't see things your way, must be stupid, is not furthering any conversation.
I have nothing to do with Presonus whatsoever. Just another user like anyone else.thievedletter wrote: Fri Nov 14, 2025 10:54 pmIt's clear you work closely with people at Presonus and your opinions seem more like damage control for the company, than honest opinions.
All I can do is reflect on my last 14 years of S1 use - and what the program has gotten (or not gotten) over that time frame.
I made a single request 7 years ago and it went nowhere. Voted up about a dozen others over the years and they went nowhere.
That’s all I need to know.

Let people voice their opinions, not every criticism towards Presonus or Studio One needs a rebuttal.
