I wish I could claim that I have a great story as to the origin of my nickname, but I don't. One of my favourite characters in Frank Herbert's Dune chronicles was the Beast Rabban who was cousin to Baron Vladimir Harkonnen.

My nickname lacks the originality and panache of many KVRians. I feel so pedestrian. :(

Cheers,

Rabban

EM = M (as in first initial of my name)
DOT = . (as in dot)
AMBIENT = style of music I first put on the web (on the ill-fated mp3.com)

And when I was setting up a yahoo.com email address, they already had a just plain "emdot@", so I went to "emdot_ambient@", even though ambient is not the only genre I do.

The ugly truth is out.

Beltrom is a spacedog in a Swedish Scifi-novel from the fifties. And for some reason I liked that dog.
