He just wants a JP-8000-style supersaw but with the sound of Proxima.
Anyways any ideas if Synapse Audios participating in Black Friday sales this year ?
Nothing announced to dealers yet.

I actually am interested. Not possible to do that with demo if i want to run same patch and see how many instances i can squeeze out.
I added 128 instances with Unison and arp enabled and it used max 70% of my cpu on my Amd Ryzen 9 7900 when everything played at once.

So i guess a Ryzen 5 7600 cpu would give you around 64 instances to get to the same amount of cpu usage or 96 if you have a Ryzen 7 7800 cpu.

oh nice! thanks :) i have R9 7950x :) on what DAW? what asio settings (soundcard aswel) ? also, was there a particular patch or just init with arp and unison?

My Asio settings is 44khz at 256 samples, Soundcard is a Behringer UMC 1820, The patch i used was Proximity RH and the DAW i use is Bitwig :)

Synapse audio's Emulations are my favorites since they get the sound right and gives me extra options that makes them better than the Hardware when i want to use those features and that they are very cpu friendly so i never had to worry about running out of Cpu power when i was using My Intel Core I5 13th gen and I7 12th gen before i decided to go for the more powerfull Amd setup i have now.

Hence it actually WOULD make a perfect supersaw candidate 👌👌👌 it only reason I even start discus about this in first place 👍honestly it makes better candidate than most other synths for a super saw
Would have to test it, can't say how a supersaw would fit into Proxima's unique VCF/VCA saturation characteristic, and how it would affect CPU usage. We have dabbled with the idea of adding a supersaw to Obsession though. Since the Oby is leaner in sound, it should fit nicely there. Again has to be tested in practice how useful it is though

Why not add a supersaw to LegendHZ if we are going into daft territory...

A supersaw is so far away from a P600 it seems ridiculous to even think about asking for it.

Supersaw by name, yes. However, the REV 2 has multiple unison modes and it wouldn't be so strange to see those added to Proxima. Those would enable users to get supersaws on their own.

Rev2 what?

Sequential Prophet REV2

So not a P600

If we must go there, the Gligli mod was released in 2013. Proxima is an emulation of a Gligli-mod Prophet-600.

But we really don't have to go there at all. I'm merely suggesting adding voice options to the unison mode.

I completely agree.
They could learn from cherry audio quality-wise.
You are probably Dutch, aren't you?
In Holland quality still is important

Just add supersaw to everything and be done with it - even a monobass - tuck it away in the corner somewhere and it'll always be appreciated :hihi:
