hi all,

I didnt check these myself yet, they seem pretty interesting but dunno if Paulstretch isnt enough or if these plugins might be bringing something nice to the arsenal?

IrcamLab TS2 is another time stretch app. It's standalone if that's an issue. I think there's a demo available.

Yup. I've been meaning to write up a little something about them but have been too lazy. I guess that the stretchy Paul thing has you more than covered for all the things these plugins do, but as a person who primarily works with instruments limited to just 4 strings, I'd rather not bother with all that thinking and understanding BS. The Sottovoce plugins are far more streamlined.

Quick notes:

1. Only the slowdown is a proper plugin. Sound comes in and changed sounds go out.
2. The other "plugins" are more like utilities and should be standalone software IMO. They import and export single audio files. They pretty much ignore the DAW they're loaded into.
3. SlowDown and SpeedUp are very musical in how they work - quite easy to make changes based on semitone and/or BPM. Easy to simulate playing a 45 at 33 1/3. Quickly add simple reverb.
4. SpeedUp can also slow down. If you want to change songs in musical ways easily, just get that one.

A few months ago I had to change a couple of MP3s for a playlist to learn bass for some songs in a different key than was originally played and it was very, very easy. There are other easy tools out there and more full-featured ones, for sure. It's nice to have options. I like these ones.

That's my impression.
Surely there must be consensus by now...
