I'm a Logic guy, but people do keep raving about Sound Forge, - what can it do that Logic can't? - Or what is it better at?

At the moment, Logic seems to offer everything I need (and a whole lot more), but is there something I could do easier, quicker, and more professionally in Sound Forge?

(Also, I've heard glowing reviews of Reason, Acid Pro and other stuff, - again, can this do lots that Logic can't)??

2 different apps entirely and can't and shouldn't be compared.Soundforge is a dedicated 2 track (stereo)audio editor,not a multitrack recording app.You already know what Logic is/does.

yea, more like what can soundforge do that Peak can't... or vice versa... or throw in a wavelab for good measure

Ok, 2 tracks... - So, you could use it in the mastering stage? - Does it have better features than Logic in that department then?
- I assume it must do, otherwsie why would anyone use it??

yes, its full featured 2 track audio editor. logics audio editor is limited in comparision, but it works for most ppl.

What can Sound Forge do that Logic can't?
