There's YouTube videos out showing bugs/issues. May be worth waiting to see if ik improves things.
I held off on pre-ordering due to their "all sales final, no refunds" policy and given their track record for fixing things. They've not fixed the install issue with MiroPhil Orchestra for example.

After the update my ReSing finally works, however if I try to do the "optimize" function it keeps crashing the IA engine. Anyway, without optimizing, it works perfectly fine. I have been able to complete a track very quickly with several different voices and they sound natural and great. This is an awesome tool.

I bought ReSing. A word of warning: it is 100% monophonic. So if you were hoping to turn DI guitar into acoustic guitar (as I was), it's a no-go.

Not sure If I would have purchased something that is advertised a vocal tool to do a conversion to a different instrument.jamcat wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 10:48 pm I bought ReSing. That's not all I wanted to use it for, of course. But the fact that it is monophonic limits what you can do with it. That it might be monophonic never even crossed my mind, and I haven't seen anywhere that IK explicitly states it is.

My thoughts:
After a few days of installing, reinstalling, rebooting the computer, etc, I got it up and running. It still doesn't recognize 2 of the voice models and reinstalling them has been a pain. I have the rest installed but between the IK Program Manger installing them to main drive, me moving them and then having to re-download them (after I changed the preferences in the download manager) is such a pain. Because I'm VERY familiar with how tedious it is to download stuff with IK I am used to this procedure, but it is frustrating for no reason. This should be a simpler process.
On to the usage:
I knew that ReSing was going to be slow and I wasn't disappointed. The interface is fine, but making sure you have it optimized and he auto button button at the bottom UNCHECKED are crucial if you don't want to pull your hair out. The expansions work better than I expected but the main thing you want to remember is to work with SHOT files (under 4-5 seconds). On my 12 year old computer it takes about 12-20 seconds to process 4 seconds, so I can imagine that processing a full verse would take some time. If you have a newer faster computer it should take less time, but you have to remember that this is processing using only your computer's resources compare to something like Audimee/Suno. I don't use Tone-X so any users of IK's guitar modeling should pipe in here to see how long it takes to process audio within that more mature program.
Also, a big bummer is finding out that you can only do one voice at a time, meaning if you want to use different models on different vocal parts, you will have to process one at a time. Through my trials, whenever I tried to process to vocals on 2 different tracks the settings for one ReSing would copy themselves to the other. I had to process one vocal, render it, take that ReSing off and then I had the next vocal track to process with a different model. Maybe this is user error, but I tried it in Reaper & Luna and got the same result.
Opinion:
This is new ground for IK... but not really. I was expecting some quirks but also some maturity in this type of process since it's similar to ToneX by just basic generalization of modeling one signal onto the other. And the process worked, but installing this is close to horrendous and there is some processing time involved. IK should really consider taking heed to all the complains about the Program Manger and redo it as there are other companies who would make the downloading process seem like child's play in comparison. The thing with IK and new products (that are not named T-Racks) is that when they first release it there are GOING to be issues. All that said, I don't hate it and will use ReSing. My next move is to record to vocals to model and load them in and see how that process works. I'm not bashing it at all. This is a new move from a software standpoint which is what attracted me to it. That being said, this process is going to take longer than online AI that does more for the voice in a shorter period of time. I hope they gets some of the quirks worked out because Antares has something similar that they just released and though it doesn't have a lot of the features of ReSing I can bet you all my money that people will gravitate towards that more due to the ease of use.
And remember, this thing only models TONE.. it doesn't correct pitch or timing. So if your vocal is pitchy and all over the place, ReSing is no going to be able to correct that for you (except unless you use the built in auto-tuner). As always, garbage in, garbage out.

Yeah, but if ya think about it, how many people can sing in polyphony?jamcat wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 11:28 pm That's not all I wanted to use it for, of course. But it's certainly not the norm

So, Resing Free not showing up on their website? Is it because they're still trying to work out the bugs or did they scrap it?

This update fixed the "optimization" option which didn't work in my computer. Now the plugin processing is lightning fast compared to the previous version. Well done.
