REAPER can't find PSP 285 VST2 or VST3

I recently purchased 285 during their current sale.
I had auditioned 285 last year, and liked it, but waited until I could afford it.
It worked last year in REAPER (Windows 11, i9 processor, 32GB RAM,FWIW), but since re-installing my authorized version, REAPER can't find the plugin.
I have Waveform 12 and Waveform Free 13, and both can see and load the 285 plugins, VST2 & VST3
at the suggestion of PSP Support, I have moved 285's .dll and vst3 from their default install locations:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\PSPaudioware\
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2\
and REAPER still can't see the plugins.
Waveform found them before and after the move.
I have 8 other PSP plugins, some free, some paid (all paid are properly licensed with iLok, including 285) and they are all visible and usable in REAPER.
Anyone else experiencing this with this plugin?
Any suggestions?
(I have uninstalled and re-installed them already, in case the trial license/install from last year was at issue)
thanks,

thanks,
suspect you need to remove the existing scan info for psp285 from reaper-vstplugins64.ini so it gets re-scanned properly ( or alternatively use the 'clear cache and rescan ALL vst paths for all plugins' from the plugins/vst preferences panel ( removing just the psp285 lines by hand will give a quicker re-scan but if more fiddly than just doing a full re-scan of every plugin )

You can also see if it's been added to the 'failed to scan' list and force a rescan of it:
Click the Options menu at the top -> Preferences
Scroll down to 'VST' (near the bottom of the list on the left)
Click the 'Rescan' button
Select 'Plug-ins that failed to scan' -> (then see if your plugin is listed there and click on it to force a rescan)
