Working fine for me on my Radeon (Win10) system. Using WHQL drivers. I don't have Cubase, but it's fine in FL Studio and Bitwig, at least.AdvancedFollower wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 9:48 pm Keep in mind most of the new synths are not compatible with Radeon cards. That doesn't make me want to buy PS3300, which interests me. Opsix Native is a complete bust for me, worse with every update they do so that it's absolutely unusable now. I've given up on it completely to the point I might actually delete it from my system and make believe it doesn't exist and that I didn't waste money on useless code (the only thing holding me back is that I know I'll be getting a new laptop some time soon, so hopefully Opsix might work on that...). Good to see Korg Japan finally got off their arse to fix broken product, however I won't hold my breath
. Opsix doesn't work on certain HP laptops, Advanced Follower having issues with all new plugins, KorgArp Oddysey is flakey as hell with program changes, TBH as a long-standing Korg fanboi I think their sw stinks
. (Although I do love Wavestate after they fixed it)
TBH I was tempted a bit by Black Friday for $199 upgrade from Legacy collection to Collection6 or whatever it's called, but I suspect most of those new ones would be crappy on my laptop as well, and honestly...it's only PS3300 that would get any use. I really don't want Prophecy/Trinity etc. I have a B2600 and rarely use it, so a sw one isn't going to be any better. So $199 sounds great for a whole collection but in reality I'd be paying $199 for 1 synth
. I can buy it separately for less than that. And I just know if I buy it that my laptop is not going to like any of the new Korg plugins.

Have you tried running it at 48kHz?kritikon wrote: Tue Nov 18, 2025 11:05 pm Opsix Native is a complete bust for me, worse with every update they do so that it's absolutely unusable now.
What do you mean by that? The problem i can see on my machine is that the CPU meter doesn't go back down after the sound stops. Only when i change the preset it does return to normal idle state.

I usually run at 48kHz as standard, so it definitely doesn't like that. 50-75% CPU just idling, running it in a song is almost impossible - I used to be able to at least play mono single notes but not even that since the last update. I don't think I've ever been able to play chords on it.
As for Odyssey - it's one of the few plugins I have that can absolutely crash Cubase dead. It seems to only do it when I change patches if I'm running the DAW and cycling a pattern. Generally after around 10 or so patch changes (not sure of the exact number). I've tested it numerous times, and just a few patch changes are fine but then all of a sudden Cubase just goes "poof" and stops dead, often the equivalent of the old BSOD where it quits and disappears. It works fine if I stop before I change patches, but not whilst running. It's done it on the odd occasion when just changing parameters while playing, not even patch changing. A shame really, as Korg Odyssey actually sounds great.

Easy peasy. lol.
My upgrade offer is $199. Wasn't it available for $99 a month ago?

Not entirely accurate I think. I recently paid $150 for Collection 6 with a coupon given by KORG because I had purchased Triton, M1, WS, MDEx.. which were originally in a bundle called "KORG Collection" (no number) and the Odyssey sometime later. This was quite a number of years ago. Apparently they give you a break if you bought some their earliest stuff.

Yeah, I remember contemplating Multipoly vs the collection for $99 but maybe my memory is wrong. Maybe it was the Trident ($99) vs the MultiPoly ($99) vs the collection at a higher price that I was contemplating and my memory confused things.

HP laptop, i7 8550, 16GB RAM. Win11 (Github version that sidetracks the hw requirements), but it was the same on Win10 long before I went to 11. Can't remember exactly, but I run at (I think) 256 buffer size, might be 128, definitely not super low as I don't need it. Usually I set up projects at 24/48 on Cubase and all the performance settings Steinberg recommend. Bog standard NVidia GPU.zvenx wrote: Wed Nov 19, 2025 5:10 am What are your computer specs.. I also run at 48khz, Cubendo at 128 Buffer size ... this does not happen with me at all.

As you can see, nothing that should strain the system. Not any kind of megalaptop but capable enough and mainstream specs, not anything specialised. But Korg does not like it. Their older plugins like the Legacy collection (Wavestation, M1, MS20) have always behaved impecably, but the newer stuff is just wonky. Wavestate now behaves but it took quite a few updates before it worked OK. TBH I'm just not going to buy anything Korg for a while until I get a new laptop next year. I recollect there was something with that era 8550 chips that Korg just don't like for some reason. I also have to say that no other VSTi have these problems though...

I think all the (windows only?) CPU performance problems with the newer plugins don't reflect well on Korg. Cubase's performance meter tends to be too fidgety as well. They really should get that sorted asap. Tons of plugins by other devs run smoothly on my system, even the CPU hogs among them.

I haven't heard of any other problems with Radeon cards.
