I cannot think of ever purchasing a plugin, thinking that it would be the only one I ever needed ... and it wasn't.

Conversely however, I can confidently state that the plugin I purchased, which absolutely was the only EQ plugin I ever needed was... FabFilter Pro-Q (v1/2/3/4) ... does it still count if there were three subsequent major releases thereof? Since they only displaced each other, as and when each update was released, I guess it does still qualify.)

There were loads of plugins I bought, which I rarely ever, or never really use. But I never thought that I would to begin with. They were often impulse purchases. And since, my expectations were not so great, I was not greatly disappointed or too bothered by not needing them.

I purchased too many plugins in the past. I was stupid and believed the lies ”you need this one for a pro mix”. But never anything that promised to do it all.
