I've been low-key wanting a lo-fi ISD-based sampler for some time, but they were always sold out and/or overpriced.

I got this one on Tindie. In addition to the usual crunchy nasty sampler that has gaps and clicks when it loops, it has a "Feedback" mode that just filters and feeds back the live input. The internal mic doesn't disable when you plug in an input, which was a little annoying at first and I thought about desoldering it off the board. But I decided instead to just embrace the extra noise it brings.

Somehow I didn't have to pay extra for a tariff even though it shipped from the Czech Republic.

Just got one of these for birthday/Christmas from Mrs Krit (festivities early as we're going away for December and all our birthdays are in December also).
I actually have an MC202 but rarely if ever use it nowadays as...well it's got that fkn awful sequencer, nuff said. But I'd forgotten how much fun they are. Definitely basic, but they really predispose to a certain type of acid/bass sequence IMO and I can spend hours dicking around with acid basslines. The sequencer is definitely an improvement on a 202, though I have to say I'd wouldn't have a clue how to use it without the manual, but it at least makes sense and I had a few sequences going within minutes. The small extras on the mkII like FM are again...basic, but it really extends what it can do and sits perfectly with the character. Who knew metallic farty noises could be such fun?

My last purchase was a MiniBrute2S, which is another stupendous acid machine. Alongside the TD3, I think my next visit to the studio will have to be acid house nostalgia. I didn't really want to get an RD9, but now...might have to rethink that. And if I'm going to start playing around on 3 acid machines plus a 909 then I might also need to start taking drugs again... :scared:

Anyway - thanks Mrs Krit!

...and I got her an overlocker sewing machine, so she might make me some rave gear :hihi:

Nothing too flashy, maybe something like this?

The 202 is a pretty cool device. It's not trivial but Tubbutech have a pretty serious upgrade for the MC-202: https://tubbutec.de/mc-2oh2/
They even have a list of techs who can do the update, if you are interested.

I got a shipping notification from Lorre-Mill, my Float Glass Arcade should arrive on Monday.
I'm thinking about getting their Comb Room as well. I have enough PT2399 based delays but it's an interesting implementation and it will work with Ciat-Lonbarde stuff, where my Bugbrand PT Delay doesn't really.

Djupviks makes cool stuff. I was tempted by Sleeper Awakes, which is a dual version instead of quad. Also Box of Angels because I think the demo sounds great, and I should probably check out their switched-capacitor filters.

I had a Bunker Archeology for a while that I'd bought used on Reverb. Fun but not something I wanted to stick with in the long term. It seems to be the easiest way to get hold of an already built Djupviks module in the US.

Yeah I've seen those - Alex Ball did a vid on one IIRC? Must admit they look like a huge upgrade to a 202 and make them infinitely more usable. I possibly would have considered one, but TBH I think the MS1 will do the job for me now, which sounds convincingly enough like a 202 to my ears. Although it is a little bit clicky on short attack low freq bass - I don't remember the 202 doing that.

I might still consider it though. I found a synth repairer in Christchurch that would be able to do it (the only one in entire NZ from what I could find). It's something like 1250km from me, so not simple logistics, though I guess postage wouldn't be huge. But, but, but.....they do Juno106 voice chip replacements cheap enough that I could get all 6 replaced (2 are dead now) and I need a new battery. And, and, and they could probably fix my AlphaJuno too. Shipping would be horrific for that lot.

So I might need to take a wee holiday down to the South Island at some point and take my old rusty synths to get fixed.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Well, I will just put the link to Modulargrid-
https://modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/2190486
with the new Vamp installed (don't make it the last in a rack! :x ) the top row would be set and I was GASing over NANO modules performace mixer with it's faders and KNOB RECORDING
then I would have to start a new rack :
https://modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/2983071
where I would put Supamix, Disting EX, and Manis Iteritas...
I wouldn't buy another rack with sliding bolts ever again.
