Browser-based systems can make collaborative systems easier (depending on your workflow obviously). Libre Office, for example, is saying real-time collaboration is now possible using their browser-based version. Of course, real-time requirements for an office suite may differ from those for audio but the importance of this depends on use case.

Audiotool was truly excellent. This looks promising for sure.

Click to open project: says Open Not Found or some ridiculous drivel of an error message.

I don't know why it won't open my project. It won't open anything, as soon as Open command is clicked, returns error immediately.

I think there have been browser based DAWs before. I thought the company that bought cakewalk had one. I think it’s called Bandlab.

Oh right, I forgot about Bandlab. We even used it back in school for a thing.

Weird how selectively one's memory works sometimes, ain't it?

It says "open source", but I am unable to find any public repo... Where is it?

The design really is on-point. Minimalistic, yet very informative. Well made.

In the latest Polarity video he said it'll be open sourced later, after the basics has been created.

This should be open sourced now. It's based on another program, with the same name and they are violating the GPL license agreement by keeping the source closed.

No, it is not based on another program. openDAW will be open-sourced under GPL 3 soon.

Its got the look.
Which may seem shallow,
but IS actually very important IMO.

I want to be inspired and artistic,
I dont need something thats fighting with me aesthetically.

But JUST MAKE IT A DAW man! Without the browser stuff.
There are some things that you SHOULDN'T, reinvent about the wheel.

Its open source; if you want it to run standalone, grab the source code and whatever javascript toolchain you think will actually allow you to build it that way.
An idiot on Set Theory:

That sounds fair.
