Naybe because it was used in so many Euro dance and trance tracks that hit the airwaves or radio.

People who are fans of the hardware want the software to sound the same. If it doesn't, then it fails. Bells and whistles don't improve the original sound, they make new sounds.
So by your reasoning emulating "the output was so noisy it made my ears hurt" is required otherwise it doesn't sound the same. Can't have it both ways.

Anyway I'm not going to argue with you any further, We've been at it for two and half decades and quite frankly I'm tired of your "output so noisy it makes my ears hurt".

Airwave is a nice synth. Buy it if you like the sound, pass on it if you don't

But just because some newbie says "ooooh I hear a 0.0000001 dB difference at 60K" don't let that influence your decision.

I'm done here. Again, good luck Adam. :tu:

99.99% because of this. Jp 8000/8080 with its supersaw sound was used alot in trance music

Yeah, I kinda figured it was because of the tune Airwave, but you never know I guess :)

Apart from it being a faulty unit...yes, perfect logic there

Exactly. And the strangest thing of all is that no one in this whole thread has said that any hardware was better than Airwave. Nobody.

There's also a really great producer named Airwave, but for all I know it could be Rank 1 using another name

Highly recommend the Push and Velvet Girl remixes.

The man of many alias, I think most fans of classic trance would have him in their top 3 producers

I was thinking long about the name, but I didnt want to use any numbers, I wanted something more memorable. Then I also wanted something thats related to trance and the supersaw sound. When Airwave popped in my head, I checked and saw that no one used it for a vst intrument yet, so that was that :hihi:

This is the only Supersaw that counts @3:00

I actually thought about this one too, but I dont know that much about it other that it sounds great. Does it also use a firmware like digital hardware synths or its 100% full analog?
