Apogee Soft Limit, not really new but I’m enjoying it immensely. Best sounding limiter I’ve heard in quite a while.

These effects have been very useful lately:
Excite Audio - Motion: Fractal (a granular multi-effect for gorgeous delays, glitches, time-stretching, and more)
Minimal Audio - Evoke (a next level vocoder)
FKFX Audio - Influx Pro (sequenced resonator/filter/distortion)
FKFX Audio - OF2 (resonant filters with morph sequencing and distortion)
FKFX Audio - Dyna Pro (morphing waveshaper with micro-looping)
Discreet Signals - Sculpture (spectral processor for surgical carving of dynamics with an insane amount of control)
Discreet Signals - 8TT (a free 8 band OTT compressor with a simple UI)

I will have to add Haze and Infected Mushroom Pusher. I seem to be using Pusher on a lot of stuff.

+1 Topos is awesome for quick shaping. not a radical new concept (filter+drive+ speaker/cab sim) but the plugin is cleverly laid out and works extremely fast. i love it

With Black Friday 2025 a week from today, I thought I'd go through my fx folder to see where I'm at with stuff.
I guess my favorites would be the Eventide and Moog Moogerfooger stuff.

With all the excellent sales already, my newly acquired favs are (in no particular order):
- Weiss DeEss and MM-1
- Nuro SuperNova and Blockchain
- Valhalla FutureVerb
- UAD Studio D chorus (I can’t believe I waited so long to buy this!
)
edit: fixed a wrong plugin name

Brainworx AMEK Mastering Compressor.
I've been looking for something to pair with Unisum in mastering. I like Unisum as a mid-side compressor, but despite all the options, I don't think it's anything special in stereo... It's good/fine/ok. In all fairness to Unisum, I don't love mastering compression on mixes that are already slamming, and to this point it's been the best mastering compressor I've tried.
So I demoed this BX AMEK on a whim, but didn't expect to like it at all. It has all the red flags for a product I would hate - hardware emulation branding, analog skumorphic interface, confusing architecture and visual feedback, archaic looking UI.
This is why you should never judge a book by it's cover. It's an amazing unit. It's hard to describe, but in relation to Unisum and most other mastering compressors that 'push audio down from above' the BX AMEK has some kind of built-in trickery that can 'pull audio up from the bottom' without necessarily being an expander like ADPTR Sculpt or some OTT variant. It's unique and absolutely stunning when used on the right audio source.
It's not easy to dial in and I wish it had better visual feedback. But there's a lot of complexity to the architecture and it does something that I've not heard any other compressor do. Currently $40 Black Friday, though could be even cheaper at some point depending on whatever promotion PA is running at the time. IMO a steal if you need this kind of mastering compressor.

New dev Saint Mike DSP gave Ceiling Fan free for limited time & I`m interested into his other plugins.
The catch: no demos = buying at a guess (cpu etc.).
Is someone in business with him & can give some feedback about the plugins?
