The first softsynth I bought was the first iteration of G-Force MTron. Came in a box that needed to arrive in the mail as downloading hundreds of MB's wasn't a thing yet [you kids today have it too easy].

Don't recall what my first paid FX plugin was. Might've been Vintage Warmer or something else from PSP. Yeah, probably Vintage Warmer.

I think it was Massive or Arturia's CS80 and Prophet V (2 for 1 pricing at the time). I still use the CS80 and Massive is my most used synth.

I am racking my brain to remember my first software synth. I think it was a standalone before vst even existed. It definitely came in a box.

I think my first non DAW effects was Opcode's fx fusion.

A load of the Elevayta plugins, Space Boy, Clone Boy (loved that).. oh no I had a TC Powercore for which I bought Kraftwerk-assisted Voice Modeller.. was that the first? Unless plogue bidule counts; that could have been earlier.. too many thousands of days ago and plugins sent to emails which no longer exist. I think i was the 2nd customer to buy Zebra2 when it had mac release.. that could have been before everything else.

Some plugin purchases probably lost to the mandella effect and my ability to accurately recall so far back

Emu APS/Proteus. (Computer card and software.) Second was the first version of the Korg Legacy Collection.
Third was Atmosphere, which quickly became a support horror story.
Obviously, only the Korg Collection remains.

I bought MJUC and TDR Nova November 2016. That appears to my first purchased plugins . First Black Friday plug in purchases as well.

Before that was stock daw ones and whatever freeware I could get.

I think I used some 3rd party DX plugins in cool edit before I got cubase. Before that I was using rubberduck and hammerhead.
