thx, sounds promising!EvilDragon wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 9:48 amWhy doubt? The same thing happened in every major update of Absynth before. Old patches sound the same as they used to. Absynth 6 builds upon Absynth 5, it's not a from-scratch thing.
Because you can load Absynth 1 presets in Absynth 5. Why wouldn't you be able to load older presets in Absynth 6? It would make no sense.

I'm sure you've all heard Brian's synth Plasmonic. I just picked it up today after playing the demo for months. If Absynth 6 sounds as good, we're in for a treat.

Holy f**k YES. Yes please very much.
If I could pick any synth to be updated it would be this. It's not even December and my Christmas wishes have already been fulfilled. Look forward to the teaser vids. Hopefully it sounds like the last one with improved fidelity, with better gui and I'm all good.

Oh, I really didn't expect this!
I hope NI becomes more of an innovator again. And maybe this is a good sign for other neglected products that deserve more love.

Heck yes I’m in. Brian did an excellent job with mpe and the UI in Plasmonic. Works well with al inputs like multi-touch screen, trackads.
If he brought all that to absynth that’ll be amazing.
Now if they’d make reaktor a resizable interface next…

Phew! My absynth third party and user preset library is by far the biggest of any synth!
Relieved to hear they don’t go the massive x route. But I guess it’s not called Absynth X after all.
