So let's say someone bought Abysynth 4 back in 2008 or so but the email that they used back then is defunct and they have no way of getting into their original NI account. Any way said person could take advantage of upgrade pricing? Asking for a friend.

This is a disaster - what on earth will KVR have to complain about?

Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Others complaining about things? (ideally in a really superior and generalising way that lumps everyone in together as one homogenous chunk)

Contact NI support and let them know what the old e-mail was, they can likely join old and new NI accounts (assuming you have a new one).Dazd_N_Confuzd wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 12:51 pm So let's say someone bought Abysynth 4 back in 2008 or so but the email that they used back then is defunct and they have no way of getting into their original NI account. Hoping Absynth 6 brings direct integration with NI's Kontrol MK3 keyboards on par with how Kontakt is now directly integrated. Eliminating the need for using Komplete Kontrol 3, which is in a sad state of development.
The thing about this, and this is far beyond NI here, but for 25+ years we've had plugin automation parameters presented to DAWs, but with a seemingly random presentation. Macros like with Plasmonic or Massive, Vital etc. seem to be the answer but it still sometimes is that some a few other parameters sneak their way into the top of the list, i.e. if I recall correctly with Brians other synth Plasmonic, the 8 macros are in slots 3-11 the first three being two volumes??? and one useless one. Hopefully one thing that the Mk3 parameter automation without KK ability does is standardize a parameter mapping to a DAW or in this case a hardware controller??? Likely not but one can hope.
KK mk3 is such a huge improvement in some areas and a massive failure in others. My main test with this new version of Absynth will be if NI and Brian were on board enough with actual human requests to get it right and have the macro controls in slots 1-8, 9-32 etc. Personally I can't believe it's been over two decades since plugin automation was presented to a DAW and we're essentially still relying on DAWs like Live and Bitwig to reorder those parameters in a macro for a logical order that gets saved with the DAW....
