Great news!Sound Author wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 11:08 pmI always loved Absynth but, for whatever reason, never got around to making sounds for it. Something I fully intend on rectifying with v6.liquidsound wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 10:58 pmPlease, get busy with your outstanding talent on Absynth 6Sound Author wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 10:45 pm At this point, with their legacy synths and Reaktor instruments that are supported but haven't received feature updates for over a decade, Komplete has more-or-less felt like a bloated bundle of Kontakt instruments, with exception of some Brainworx and iZotope additions and a few nice effects. I personally feel that Komplete needs to be repackaged somehow, but in order to do that, either their legacy stuff needs updated or new non-Kontakt products need to emerge for Komplete to feel more like what it used to be...and Absynth 6 is obviously a bold step in that direction. So, it seems they are doing that work and I'm really hoping they stay the course.![]()

All I really need for Christmas is my Absynth 6.
Really when might Absynth 6 be released?
I will now stop or at least reduce my Black Friday purchases.

I have been reading and it seems that Absynth 6 will be released around December 8, 2029 2025. If the wait was any longer it would would be too painful anticipating the release.
All these years I have been buying plugins trying to match Absynth 6, yes, unsuccessfully. I am so happy that Brian is involved in this miraculous rebirth. Its like a religious experience. I am in heaven, but hope this is not premature and be sent back to planet Earth.

I hear you, I do most of my creative sampling in Falcon, but I have at least 20 odd third party Kontakt libraries that are absolutely brilliant, and the latest version of 8 is supposedly less sucky than the last couple versions that force a more Komplete Kontrol type interface on you. The other elephant is MPC with it's keygroup improvements makes for a really great creative sampler as well. Mostly 8 is a way to future proof my Kontakt libraries, that's all.dayjob wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 10:20 pm i can't remember the last time i opened Kontakt. been using UVI Falcon and built in DAW samplers for ages now. even uninstalled the kontakt factory libraries to free up some HD space. would much rather roll my own in different samplers that are a bit lighter and focused on a current task than fire up a "let this make a track for you" type thing.. not that kontakt isn't super capable of doing what i'd want.. it just fell out w/me a few years back and i never went back to it.

I thought this topic was another " i wish that..." Haven't given NI a US.01 since the Battery 3>>>Battery 4 downgrade. Looks like that will change. Absynth 6- I am in. What's next Reaktor? I'll be an NI fan again.
It's great to hear that Brian is involved in Absynth again. Absynth 5 is still amazing imo.

Exciting news and pretty interesting subject.
I re-visited Absynth few months ago only, after many years of not using it on a machine I still should run it. Gonna be honest, it was fun, but not as cool as I remembered it. I think alot of people are maybe a bit biased by the nostalgia & fuzzy memories of it. After using so many other ultra powerful synths since and being so spoiled, Absynth kinda felt a bit dull and sounded dated I many department I must admit. It was very clunky to use also compared to what we're used now and limited in many aspects. I kinda forgot that over the years. Still fun to use, but definitely dated. To my ears at least. So I'm one of those who would like a rebirth yes, but updated, revamped and on par soundwise with the actual big synths on the market (Falcon, Omnisphere, Pigments, PhasePlant, etc). If they leave the engine 'as is' you might feel disappointed and be overtaken by reality VS nostalgia rather quickly, I'm telling you.
