You can do this though (this on 5K btw - and a surround setup)
LOL. Okay, you have my complete attenion now

Please, share a bit on how to do this. I thought I had shaken the tree pretty thoroughly and failed to find a way ...

Thanks in avance!
Only in the standalone (but that's what I use for surround work). Just right click on each tab you want to open as a separate window and it will pop out so you can fill your entire screen with Absynth

@aMUSEd:
Yah, I do remember the windows are detachable in standalone, now that you mention it. This is definitely a nice feature for sound design, and standalone mode works in that case. I was hoping you'd discovered a sneaky way to do it within a DAW, where Absynth is working with several other sound sources, and composition involves lots of adjustments and trial and error.
I know some DAWs do allow magnification of the plugin interface (with variable degrees of success), but I have not been able to get that to work with Absynth in FL Studio. Thanks for sharing, anyway!

Ironic that Absynth 6 and Zebra 3 appear to be coming out on more or less the same week - maybe even days apart. Zebra is very much like a highly evolved Absynth in many respects only without the sample based oscs (but with the additive, spectral, FM, draw your own waveforms and complex MSEGS for everything)

Just in time for Xmas hols

A lot of this early experimentation was outstanding - what really attracted me to NI products back then - I hope we get some of that back
Thank you
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Have you already tried disabling the VSTi wrapper "DPI aware" setting and then reloading the plugins? This works for some other older NI plugins like FM8.

In the case of Massive, with the recent v1.7.0 update last year, NI themselves added native GUI scaling options.

But for other plugins without that support, such as FM8, you can instead disable the "DPI aware" setting within its plugin wrapper (in FL Studio) and once the plugin is reloaded, it will use OS scaling instead (very useful for UHD displays).

Not sure it this will also work for Absynth 4/5, etc., but its worth a try, if you haven't yet.

Here is the count down to What?

I assume it is the count down to the release of Absynth 6.
Only with the help divine intervention will this happen.

The color of the swirls tell me it is Absynth 6. :D

I don't know where I heard about Absynth but I remember pirating NI Komplete on a couple of different occasions in the 2000s and all I ever fired up was Absynth. I'd always get distracted by life and games and of course the eye-patch and arm-hook versions tended to be crashy.

When I finally decided to replace most of my gaming with music a few years back I was incredibly disappointed to find that Absynth had been discontinued and was no longer available to buy (except maybe an old version 2nd hand). I've gone completely legit and purchased quite a few too many plugins but have yet to have the joy of opening up that alien green glow and working my way through some crazy presets. I'm looking forward to doing that again in a couple of weeks and actually contemplating making something with it, not just moving on to the next distraction.

I never got that feeling. Zebra 2 had normal delays, nothing to speak of chorus, reverb etc. but really fantastic routing, drawable waves, and an over all organic sound. Absynth was pretty much the exact opposite, a straight digital sound to the oscs, fantastic delays, and a very digital sound.

I pretty much used Zebra 2 and Absynth on every song I wrote in the 2010's they compliment each other well. I'm very happy to see both upgraded to modern standards.

This.

Absynth and Zebra do complement each other well. They are both fantastic synths and it's awesome that they are both getting an upgrade.
Neon Breath wrote: Sat Nov 29, 2025 6:15 am .... I think alot of people are maybe a bit biased by the nostalgia & fuzzy memories of it. After using so many other ultra powerful synths since and being so spoiled, Absynth kinda felt a bit dull and sounded dated I many department I must admit. It was very clunky to use also compared to what we're used now and limited in many aspects. I kinda forgot that over the years. Still fun to use, but definitely dated. To my ears at least. So I'm one of those who would like a rebirth yes, but updated, revamped and on par soundwise with the actual big synths on the market (Falcon, Omnisphere, Pigments, PhasePlant, etc). If they leave the engine 'as is' you might feel disappointed and be overtaken by reality VS nostalgia rather quickly, I'm telling you.

Uh, No, it's not nostalgia in my case, Absynth gets regular use by me (and other people here). Yes, i'd like to hear the sound engine updated. No, i'm not worried about being overtaken by reality (vs anything, reality is over rated anyway).

Some are in some of the legacy libraries that it ships with, but these are amalgamated from what's in the user library and converted from .glo to .nabs
