Very bizarre. Will check it out, thanks for the cuec_voltage wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 1:40 amYes by some reason this is only at Datamind's Discord channel yet.Neon Breath wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 1:16 amThere is a demo? Where is it? Can't find it anywhere on the product page...

Too cool, bought it. Not interested in many software instruments lately but this is flexible and weird. Thanks for the heads up!

Oh dmn found preset "Alien Jungle" which eats 89% cpuc_voltage wrote: Sat Nov 29, 2025 11:52 pm Whereas by walking thru presets kan see wide changes of eating, like 10-40%.
Upd: And reason in this case was poly set to 7
If set to 1, it drops to 16%
So with poly need be the same very carefully here.

Yeah, polyphonic mode is killing my cpu here too, for no reason. I own other powerfull granular synths and none of them destroy my cpu like this one when playing in poly.
This thing needs some serious optimizations.

It seems pretty well optimised in Logic, monitoring the CPU meter while playing it shows 4 equally active cores, so it actually makes use of multi-threading.

Another custom, chromatically playable patch in ReFractalizer granulating a longer music box sequence from one of my Padshop libraries, towards the end I start improvising with other samples stored in the loaded sample pool. Macro automation in Logic, no external FX used.

interesting, im interesting in what it brings new to the table when making drones.
also when you choose the samples to scroll through does it ccopy any data, duplicates the samples or how does it do it?

It loads all samples into RAM like in Concatenator, so you can build gigantic sample pools if you have enough RAM installed.

thanks a lot simon, need to check if there is a demo, needa test this out on drones.Sampleconstruct wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 12:18 pm It loads all samples into RAM like in Concatenator, so you can build gigantic sample pools if you have enough RAM installed.

Another fantastic demo Simon! That video alone shows just how useful this plug-in is for highly detailed and evolving soundscapes. I’ve been trying out different types of audio to mangle. And it works like magic for rhythmic material and drones.Sampleconstruct wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 11:57 am Another custom, chromatically playable patch in ReFractalizer granulating a longer music box sequence from one of my Padshop libraries, towards the end I start improvising with other samples stored in the loaded sample pool. Good thing that I have loads of RAM, because it can be a hungry plug-in. But I’m sure that they’re going to optimize it with future updates. I’m still adjusting polyphony to find the sweet spot for CPU usage. But I am one happy camper, and very glad that I picked this up.

It's astonishingly good at completely turning a sound inside out.
I've been playing around with various loops inside it and you can get thing that sound like there's a whole lot of other stuff going on.
The Stereo control with faster grain rates has some real magic.

Despite being quite resource-intensive (so far, will see if they optimize it in the future), this plugin sounds really good and is really nice, I must admit.
I'm a longtime fan & lover of Audio Ease's now-discontinued RiverRun granular plugin. To this day, I've never managed to find an equivalent in terms of sound quality, granular cloud density and ease of granulation. That one really created gooey grain clouds in no time, always sounding sublime. Even among today's powerful granular synths, nothing compares to RiverRun in terms of sound aesthetics, which is ironic considering that plugin is over 15+ years old.
I think this one might just be the one that finally replaces it. The only thing missing is stereo random pan per grains, right now it's a strange ping-pong pattern but I saw that the developer intends to add it in a future update. Apart from that, this plugin is magnificent in terms of sound quality
