I have next to no understanding over how to create the synth sounds I find when I hunt for inspiration. I would need a tool to rip and resynthesize what I would like to use ...

My path from the start to the finished production is no straight line where one original idea stays like a skeleton that gradually gets fleshed up. It is a movement with breaks, jumps and changes that often drops or 'loses' something that existed earlier, including original inspirations.
I have poor levels in many necessary music making skills. Using AI or other software helps.
