Agreed. I already have AmpliTube, Tonex, NI Guitar Rig, and probably a couple other things I forgot. I am wondering what this might have (or can do) that the others won't. Uncle E sells it pretty well :-)

Actually, maybe a better question (for me) is I wonder if this will end up in UAD Signature v4?

With Paradise, I was able to determine that it and the free Showtime '64 can be used as faux Ox Stomps. I couldn't tell with Showtime on its own because the speaker couldn't be bypassed, but Paradise allows it when using Showtime as the amp. None of the other amps work for this.

Use these settings:
  • Input gain -24
  • Output gain +24
  • Select Showtime '64 in Paradise
  • Set amp to Normal/Volume 10/Treble 2/Middle 2/Bass 2

So like... how's the sound guys? I can't demo it rn but the YT vids sounded nice.

I’ve been spending so much time with the effects and cabinets that I haven’t tried the amps! I do own all of the earlier amp plugins, though, and they’re really great. Woodrow is my favorite.

I like how the amps have this low growl that seems to be missing from most other amp sims. And also the GUI is extremely beautiful, probably the best amp sim interface i've seen so far. And some fuzz, distortion pedals too, sweet! Can you just use the pedals without the amp + cab section?

Yes

its definitely worth a demo, synths sound great through amps and guitar pedals

Needs more phasers!

I guess I'll try the demo but I need to clear out some drive space. Also, I just remembered that my computer can barely handle the single amp plugins like the lion, Vox, dream 65. Oh well, I'm okay with amplitube, tonex, and my Spark Amp.

Agreed +2 but he missed an opportunity to give us the hard sell by saying the amp "goes to 11". :-|

Yes - while most of their other plugins are rather light on the CPU, the amp-sims are absolutely unreasonably greedy. On my machine they use something like 4.5 times as much CPU as both Ampire and Guitar Rig ICMs while imo not sounding quite as good/real/authentic.
I thus assume someone completely differently coded these than who coded their older plugins.

Sure, I use other amp sims on synthesizers all the time, though unless you want a kind of boxy sound, you should probably bypass the speaker cabinet simulation. It all depends on the source material.

I liked the look of this.. but they wanted $149 from me, and for the same money I could get TH-U premium.. so.. I went for TH-U for the moment, as I prefer flexibility and variety.

I have two of the UA amps already, but they don't appeal so much as to make UA the defacto 'solution' I want.

I think you could have gotten it for at least $99 had you gone to checkout...

I quite like the concept of it, especially the effects (though as has been pointed out, it is missing a wah wah and maybe others)...

I just still think AI has now gone miles ahead of any algorithmic amp/cab setup at least in tone but not flexibility.
