And you can't transfer licenses. Kind of a bummer. Not a fan of Roland's licensing but darn it they sound great.noiseboyuk wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 4:16 pmSame boat, only I was 808. I'd have definitely gone for this, but obvs there's no discount for owning one already.krisbg wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 11:54 amWhat a pity I already bought the 909 on 909 day, could have bought the 808 + 909 + 106 bundle now. Is the 106 any good if I have almost all other software emulations on the marked + two units of a hardware emulation?dionenoid wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 11:18 am Roland sales are live on Plugin Boutique : 808, 909, 101, and 106 for 50 bucks each. I thought someone here mentioned it is possible to transfer, but just not in the US.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 9:39 pmAnd you can't transfer licenses. Kind of a bummer. Its been said you can if you live in Europe as it's the law, but Roland makes you jump through a bunch of hoopsExamigan wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 9:57 pmI thought someone here mentioned it is possible to transfer, but just not in the US.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 9:39 pmAnd you can't transfer licenses. Also if you got lifetime keys from play for life, those don't transfer because you didn't pay for them, you paid for a year's subscription and got those as a free promotional item

I bought the 101 before the cloud stuff and I asked if I could transfer. They said no and did not ask where I live.IvyBirds wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 11:10 pmIts been said you can if you live in Europe as it's the law, but Roland makes you jump through a bunch of hoopsExamigan wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 9:57 pmI thought someone here mentioned it is possible to transfer, but just not in the US.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 9:39 pmAnd you can't transfer licenses. It's been reported in this thread by Roland Reps that because it's the law in Europe if you demand they do it they will as long as you love in EuropeEchoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Nov 29, 2025 12:27 amI bought the 101 before the cloud stuff and I asked if I could transfer. I think they default to just saying no unless you push it

Finally a reasonable price for the Roland Cloud Juno 106, I just picked this up. I bet Roland would sell a ton of these if they dropped their plugins to $50.
Good job Roland for this sale I can respect this price.

My subscription ran out today and now many of my instruments and expansions I have lifetime keys for are now missing. I tried uninstalling RCM and re-intalling it.
I've seen a few others having the same issue, obviously I'm contacting Roland Cloud support but maybe someone here knows what the fix is?

I’ve experienced this myself. IE When a subscription expires it can act like you don’t have certain lifetime keys.ChamomileShark wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 11:38 am My subscription ran out today and now many of my instruments and expansions I have lifetime keys for are now missing. Log in. Log out. Reboot. Login. If you’re lucky it just needed that to reset the account status. Still not working? If you’re feeling particularly hopeful uninstall / reinstall Cloud Manager - which you've done. It never seems to make a difference, but at least you can now hopefully skip that bit of the support process.
You’ve already figured out the only remaining fix - Contact Roland Cloud support. They’ll have to manually change some settings on their end. They do, at least, seem to retain a list of your lifetime keys, so you haven’t lost the keys. But taking some of them away by default, when a sub ends, is both worrying and off-putting for people resubscribing, since it's likely to happen to you again if it happened this time. Just rest assured this isn’t an isolated incident and has been happening for years.

thank you PAK, hopefully Roland will respond soon. As you say it is disappointing, I've been a Roland customer since 1981 and looking around I have more Roland hardware here than any other brand and so far everything has worked well, this feels as if they are letting the brand down.

Just got the 106. Lovely, but... how do I turn off legato in mono mode? I was thinking Legato on/off would do it, but alas.

You mean you want the voice to retrigger the voice/envelopes when you hit a new note? I'm not sure the Juno-106 could do that... The Softube one is the same, in Unison mode, it's always single-trigger legato...noiseboyuk wrote: Wed Dec 03, 2025 3:30 pm Just got the 106. Lovely, but... how do I turn off legato in mono mode? (The legato switch only applies to the portamento, which it's why it's in that section. Ie, whether portamento happens all the time, or only when you play legato.)
