Expansions are nice but many of them sound very similar to each other. This makes me appreciate developers like Spectrasonics that release Omnisphere 3 with so many different well made soundbanks and does not upsell you insanely expensive repeating soundbanks with different names.
VPS Avenger synth is great tho.

What’s latch?moonchunk wrote: Fri Nov 28, 2025 6:34 am I spoke with the developers via email. Latch (on Editor Page) disappeared and they weren't aware of it. They say it won't be fixed until a major release, which sucks.

Did they ever add polyphonic aftertouch or MPE to this instrument?

Can anyone recommend expansions that can rival cinematic presets of Omnisphere 3?
in general i miss information about what type of presets are in the expansions like ReFX does. Also does Nexus has cinematic expansions that are in the same ballpark as Omnisphere 3?

I guess most people did not invest 499$ of omnisphere and there never happen a sale for this. i buy avenger on sale and the expansion i like and save a lot of money. with avenger can edit more. avenger is more a synthesizer than a platform that emulate classical instruments. i think all have good sounding classical instruments, most important is use a classical reverbLbdunequest wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 10:21 am Can anyone recommend expansions that can rival cinematic presets of Omnisphere 3?

Avenger has a few cinematic XPs you might like such as the Melancholia and Atmsopherica expansions. It's not Omnisphere, but it shows Avenger is a very capable synth at far more than EDM and can certainly do soundscapes.Lbdunequest wrote: Tue Dec 02, 2025 10:21 am Can anyone recommend expansions that can rival cinematic presets of Omnisphere 3?

Nexus has the Hollywood expansions which are fun but not Omni territory at all.
