Hi,
I want to add an instrument like Kontakt in Bluecats Patchwork Synth. I then want to add a plugin in the parallel chain so I can sidechain input it with the midi output of the Kontakt Instrument. This way, the plugin can follow the midi notes played along, for example, Bass XXL from Denise Audio. However, specifically, I want to Bass XXL to follow the midi input down an octave 8vb. So instead of Bass XXL reading C3, for example, I can force it to read C2. Does that make sense?
I want to play C3 and have audio pass through C3, but the specific plugin Bass XXL will read the midi input down an octave.
Thank you so much for your help.
Cheers,
DMDComposer

You could use a MIDI effect plug-in to turn down midi notes by an octave between the MIDI source and your plug-in(using one of the virtual MIDI ports provided by PatchWork). I believe you should find some free plug-ins that do that (maybe the pizmidi plug-ins?). Or you can use one of the built-in MIDI scripts inside Plug'n Script to do that too.
