I refuse to have anything to do with Spotify.
I like the music I like. The pop stuff, I'd have to say the 80s and a little of the early 90s. But most of what I like isn't pop, and I don't particularly associate it with any particular year.

Neither have I. My musical taste is firmly in the 1963-1979 range. I had a brother 10 years older who was prime age for the British Invasion. No coincidence that The Beatles have been my favourite band since Feb. 9, 1964.

I think it's a bit confused. My listening age was 74, with me allegedlly being into music from the late 60s. I definitely like late 60s music - it got that right - but I don't remember that being the heyday of goth, punk or alternative rock which are among my most popular genres. Proto-punk was also in the list; I'm not 100% sure what it's classifying as proto-punk, but the only band I can think of that might qualify is The Velvet Underground. And I don't remember listening to them that much tbh even if they are apparently in my top 5 artists. I'm surprised the Kinks didn't rank higher.
The VU are the only 60s artist in my top 5, all the others being from the 80s, 90s and 2020s. So methinks it's a load of bollocks and the weightings are way off. I'd have thought that I skew slightly to the 90s, which was when I was in my teens, and that that would peg me at about my actual age, not multiple decades older. I definitely don't focus that heavily on a particular period with my listening - it's all over the place, though I don't like that much from the early to mid 70s.
Apparently I am also into "jazz vocals". I have no idea where the hell that came from as it's not something I remember listening to much, nor something that I was actively seeking out.

So does music from In The Night Garden and Bluey count the same as Sherelle, Aya, and John Glacier for this?
Do like the fact that your listening age would be lower listening to Westlife than Can.
Anyways, is an older or younger age "better"?

an algorithm made by that entity won't have the first f**king clue what my tastes are because it's just not reducible like that, how utterly pointless
