Yeah somebody should holler @ Korg to change the format of time used for backup name since : is not an allowed character in filenames on Windows.

It's the return of a very strange troll that keeps making new accounts on forums like this to demand really obscure Roland and Korg emulations with posts that are mostly nonsense.
They seem to have given up on their old strategy of creating fake screenshots, claiming you can get something like an S750 in Roland Cloud.

How did I miss the PS-3300 release? I'm not a fan of the digital stuff from Korg, but that looks interesting. The demos sound great. How are people liking it?

I upgraded (finally) and last days actually had digging of PS3300.zerocrossing wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 4:56 pm How did I miss the PS-3300 release? I'm not a fan of the digital stuff from Korg, but that looks interesting. The demos sound great. How are people liking it?
So far have mixed feelings.
From good, in general i liked how it sound (well in principle that why i upgraded generally, after demoing). There is feeling that it sort of next although little but step in sense of analog emulation. I dont know, maybe the one of reasons is extensive built in ability of freq's detuning (separate section with "Voice variation" settings and "Oscillator Drift"). Plus tuning for each note in bottom of main UI, for each of 3 modules separate. Also Ensemble knob (as part of HW emul) with somehow distinctive character. (Not saying about effects section)
But i allow that deal not only in this drift direction, but in engine\filters,osc's too. For example, for me was a bit unexpectedly to find pretty clean bells timbre (with no any of post processing). That cool.
In general for evaluate synth engine capability itself, with no effects, i advise to select in presets browser two collection: "PS-3300 Hardware" and "AtomTM". Both has not a big presets list, but imo it cover most of interesting side. And curiously, almost with no using cables patching (so this quest remains bonus at the user's disposal).
The main presets collection is pretty huge, but frankly not so gladding by sound as mentioned two. Although it can give cable patching examples, though can note i not remember complex patching in presets, at least visually, in most cases it was just a few cables. (Well if compare with ARP presets' wild patching design sometimes, for example). That again not a bad though, for the user interests.
Else good moment, during presets or dig from scratch i been catching one-two cases with really flashback to some of classic "Berlin school" tricks (either it was something from Klaus Schulze or Eduard Artemyev, can't say for sure). But I think that this is due to the peculiarity of modulation structure here. In any case it was unusually funny because similarity.
Now I really think that for this genre it is very suitable thing.
From bad things, as i mention in previous posts its lack (or restricted structure) for instant\direct generation, and i still consider this as drawback, for using synth as true drone machine.
It's able to instant hear LFO, but osc's nope.
The same i not found yet any way for "latching" pressed note, thru some trick with built in commutation. If someone will able to get that - would be cool. (Even not to saying to some trick for trig\run main envelope thru patching. As i figured this is impossible here either).
As well the max ADSR' release time is pretty short here. Max about 15 seconds only (?) Also tried switch to separate Amp Envelope (in bottom of each PSU), and using the release of this section, instead default. But it the same. (What profit in this additional envelope for each generator then ?)
Such an superficial look. Although I haven't written anything specific about the possible interesting regards tech side \ patching of modules here — honestly, still racking my brains about that (well except LFOs), especially regards the right part of UI, If there anything interesting to be squeezed out of this holes. Will hope to figure it out with user manual.

Yoda's speech, often called "Yoda-speak," isn't true "word salad" (random nonsense), but a deliberate, poetic inversion of English syntax, primarily using an Object-Subject-Verb (OSV) structure, like "Strong you are," instead of "You are strong," to sound ancient, wise, and alien, demonstrating a figure of speech called anastrophe, where normal word order is altered for emphasis, making profound insights sound like koans.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Any semblance of stylization is not intentional, but merely coincidental, due to my limited knowledge of language (and google translator). But at least I hope that the essence of what's written was understandable.

I doubt it was directed at you. You put effort into answering "How are people liking it?". It made sense to me, and I have no doubt everyone found something helpful in it. Besides, we all pretty much know you and we've seen you around here. You're one of us!c_voltage wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 9:41 pmAloysius wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 9:24 pm Yoda's speech, often called "Yoda-speak," isn't true "word salad" (random nonsense), but a deliberate, poetic inversion of English syntax, primarily using an Object-Subject-Verb (OSV) structure, like "Strong you are," instead of "You are strong," to sound ancient, wise, and alien, demonstrating a figure of speech called anastrophe, where normal word order is altered for emphasis, making profound insights sound like koans.(If that was directed me)

Unfortunately, a few posts above yours was another post by some kind of chatbot that has suffered what appears to be a rather serious stroke and still has not received proper medical attention. This bot has posted in other forums on this site. It just posts a lot of terms used in posts in the forum—but it doesn't post them in any particular order.

@planetearth
Oh thanks for kind words bro. (Although i googled now what meant "Yoda-speak", was useful to know at least).

Yes but would be cool to achieve this behavior internally via modulation \ cable patching.

BTW Trinity has saveable Hold button (Not active sound state ie set of pressed notes savable i mean, but anyway). Can inspire to pretty unintentional things\textures. Which turn out to can be unexpectedly interesting in terms of overall quality (despite the simple forms), probably some of the new engine's feature come into play here hmm.
