I miss iZotope Trash in the sense that the latest version of it basically killed what was once an excellent product.

CS80 Ring Mod as a standalone piece of hardware. Or sofware I suppose.

You mean BF-2.DCrown wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 7:21 am Boss BF-1
Why the only BF-1 plugin is by stupid Roland cloud?
The reason is because Luca has all but abandoned Audiority for McLovin

Geez, the guy probably just hasn't gotten around to it and good emulations take time. Plus, how well do Flanger stompboxes actually sell? I bet he's got a good idea because he somewhat recently did the MXR emulation.jamcat wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 5:50 pm The reason is because Luca has all but abandoned Audiority for McLovin
It's kind of messed up to call out a developer for not releasing something like you're his boss and he's late on his assignment. Luca is a human being, who is running at least one business, doing DSP for at least two companies, and trying to live his life I'm sure. If gets around to a Boss BF-2, great! If not, someone else eventually will.
Drew, formerly of BFD, is working on a super BBD emulation that will include emulations of tons of chips, companders, and have modulation capabilities. So if Luca doesn't do it, perhaps Drew will get his plugin out and you can build a BF-2 there. Or maybe someone else will do it. Or no one will.

Yeah, clearly he hasn’t gotten around to it. The reason is that second company you mentioned. This isn’t “calling him out.” It’s just stating the reality of the situation, which is Audiority’s output has pretty much come to a halt, while Polychrome has been releasing full guitar suites left and right. Because that’s what Luca is doing now. I’m just saying I don’t think that BF-2 model is coming after all, and this is why. You act as though it’s controversial to point that out.

You're not simply pointing it out. Your reply practically drips with disdain for his choices.jamcat wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 11:15 pm I’m just saying I don’t think that BF-2 model is coming after all, and this is why. You act as though it’s controversial to point that out.

HW, but not directly standalone: MOTM 190 VCA.Cuauhtli wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 2:48 pm CS80 Ring Mod as a standalone piece of hardware. Or sofware I suppose.
it has a RingMod inclouded. This IS the CS80 clone Ring mod *. Electronics drawn by Jürgen Haible.
But Paul is nolonger. RIP
( * this has been clearly stated by Jürgen. RIP )
Oakley has the ARP 2500 RM. This one is very nice too. I think i kept the Oakley in my system and took the MOTM out. ( was also a question of space)

I love the BF-1
used to own one a couple of years ago.... it's more of a flanger chorus mixture
and imo way better than the later compact pedal BF-2
