Hello friends,
I'm currently in the market for a new computer for music production. In my situation, I intend to stick with Windows 10 for compatibility with all the software I use. I know at some point I need to update everything, but for now it is more cost-effective trying to find a system that will work with my current tools. In my search, I came across NIXYS. The company seems reputable in general, but has anyone here used them for music making? I will primarily be using the following software (I know it's older stuff, no judgement please :) )

Cubase 6,
East West Play (EWQLSO, Choirs, MOR, RA, Silk, Hollywood Strings)
VSL (Vienna Instruments engine from around 2015)
Best Service Engine (Tarilonte's original ERA, Forest Kingdom)
Kontakt (Embertone solo strings, Tarilonte's Mystica, Cantus)
Toontrack (EZ Drums, EZ Mix)
Ozone 7
Finale

Here's the build I'm looking at right now:

Alright, let me know what you think. Thanks!

No experience with the company, but the config seems way overpriced to me. The CPU was released in 2012, DDR3 is outdated, modern m2 ssds perform better than those with a sata interface. For $ 2K you should get something better with more recent hardware, imho.

Absolutely not. Had a quick look at the site as I was baffled they were offering 2012 hardware at (possibly) more than launch prices, and NIXYS appears to be a specialty company dealing in old/legacy hardware systems. You don't need a system this ancient just to run Windows 10. It'll run happily on a modern machine. The parts in this thing are 3 years older than Windows 10.

Do not buy - I cannot emphasise this enough. I'd be amazed if the forum was able to find a worse deal than this, let alone suggest something better. These types of systems just aren't meant for consumers. This is the kind of place you buy from because your company is entirely reliant on some early 90s middleware that crashes on anything later than Windows XP, and you're willing to pay 5x the Ebay price to get solid support and a warranty.
