Interesting article over at Noizefield - mostly speculation and rumor amplification, but A6 does seem to be more than a compatibility/UI update. The article also contains a bit more granularity on possible new features. With less than 24 hours to go, we'll all know a lot more by this time tomorrow. Can't wait!

Since late 1989. I'm one of the few high rent and cost of housing survivors from the 90's.Examigan wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 8:20 pmIs that where you live, in Seattle? I like the general attitude of Seattle, and the terrain. I played in a proto NY style noise rock band in the 90's Foil, we played with Sleep Capsule, Tad, Unearth etc.
I'm west coast all the way, lived in CA, OR and WA for substantial periods of time. Where are you on the East Coast and why such a massive Geographic?

Is the original developer involved in this? Seems unlikely as he has his own separate company now. I suppose we shall see tomorrow.

Yes, Brian Clevinger is absolutely involved.

At first I lived on Capitol Hill as a kid, then moved to the Greenlake area. Later I lived near northern Ballard and played drums for many years starting in 1979, and then synths later on.machinesworking wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 10:56 pmSince late 1989. I had a long distance relationship for a year or two with my future wife, and ended up moving to Connecticut and got married.

What bands? I was pretty involved in the local music scene up until maybe 2015, now it's all home studio stuff. Lived on Capitol Hill mostly until about 2000. Now a one bedroom rental is far more than my mortgage, like twice as much!

Not to be pedantic, but it's still running in Rosetta, I guess they just made it compatible with Rosetta?jancivil wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 11:36 pm"or is it merely a museum piece updated for Apple Silicon?"syncline wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 10:32 pm Interesting article over at Noizefield - mostly speculation and rumor amplification, but A6 does seem to be more than a compatibility/UI update.

It would be cool if they put some absinthe green into the icon instead of just the boring black and white icons they have nowadays.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Not pedantic. It's not Apple Silicon. AU only, no VST3, doesn't work in Komplete Kontrol. Rosetta au only.machinesworking wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 11:39 pmNot to be pedantic, but it's still running in Rosetta, I guess they just made it compatible with Rosetta?jancivil wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 11:36 pm"or is it merely a museum piece updated for Apple Silicon?"syncline wrote: Mon Dec 08, 2025 10:32 pm Interesting article over at Noizefield - mostly speculation and rumor amplification, but A6 does seem to be more than a compatibility/UI update.

More pedantry then: silicone != silicon
