Is it just me, or is some of the audio 'odd' ? In the 'exploring effects' video on the playlist, for example, I can hear the voice, but not the synth.

Probably just done in a hurry with the voiceover recorded (or generated) after the screen grab session and someone forgot to mix in the sound examples or didn't go back and grab the samples in the first place.

Yeah I just watched them all and that was the only rogue one.

I was worried it was something at 15khz and my hearing was shot for a moment...

In all seriousness, the biggest news, to me, for Absynth 6, is that not only does it come with over 400 new presets, it also comes with over 1600 from previous versions that sound as good as when you load them in AB5. And you can load any preset pack you previously bought.

There are quality-of-live updates, I wished for, that are pretty standard among software synths these days, like resetting a parameter through double-clicking it, an undo function, or a more straight-forward way for time-synced parameters (like 1/8 or 1/4, not 0.25 or 0.5), but that might be to much to ask when keeping it compatible with the previous versions.

And if you're not that fan of the AI-powered preset browser and the colorful cloud you can always switch to a standard column-based view.

It'll be interesting what the response to the upgrade price will be...

Can someone remind me where it has ''wavetable synthesis'? I cant see a wavetable option in the oscilator lists in the videos. I see it has nice waveform editing and morphing so not complaining, just curious.

You click on the waveform name and there's a menu including wavetables.

You can do this with cmd double click (and also manually enter a value)

Which is great, and thank you for the workaround! It's just such a common thing for the likes of Serum, Pigments, Omnisphere, Diva, and pretty much any other VST, that it does take a moment to get used to.
