How do people drag and drop into a plugin window from their browser when the plugin window disappears when the browser is selected? I e never been able to do that. Or do you mean from the DAW browser? I would like that too.
Click and drag to the DAW, hover over it until the plugin's GUI appears, then release the mouse button.

$199 ?

I don't need "weird" that badly. The bean counters need to read the room and the market.

Oh well that saves me time trying the demo. Moving on........

I didn't even know Absynth had granular. :o

Wow, I love what they’ve done with it. This is more than just a new look, even if it looks delicious and more inviting than before imo. The envelopes seem like they’re a joy to work with, apart from the slightly awkward assignment. MPE support is also very welcome. It’s far more than I’ve expected.

I’ll wait for the Komplete upgrade tho, it’s about time.

Most people I suspect will get it as part of a Komplete upgrade which is nice, a change from a bunch of sound packs and for me very welcome. I certainly wont buy it stand alone, The Komplete upgrades every few years in BF sales are the way to go!

The website is a mess. Absynth6 page can't be reached from the site, just from the youtube link.
Also I can't buy it with the buy button (just testing, will not buy).
It's a joke. SynthPlant does it better!

On the one hand - $99 is definitely upper end.

On the other hand - anything is only as good as its weakest spot. I opened Absynth 5 this morning and gadzooks what a headache. Tiny fonts, fiddly everything on top of some challenging concepts.

Much of what is new in Absynth 5 is the UI, but I don't underestimate the value of that in this case. And I think that new browser will win it a lot fans - it looks fun for the first time in its history, and because everything else is far less off-putting I think there's a good chance it will widen the Absynth user base significantly from the die-hards who had the patience to work with the bloody thing.

(And of course there are other improvements - MPE, new filters etc)

The countdown still shows an hour to go. Looks like they just put some of the site live early to counter the leak. https://www.native-instruments.com/en/s ... by-design/

Also the YouTube links are still unlisted. I think an hour from now it will all start working.

Also also - there's no specs on the website yet.

Where did you see that price? I see there’s still about an hour to go.

I've only listened to youtube sound examples. Maybe I change my mind later, but currently I think it's similar to synthplant.

It would be best if they added a countdown clock on this page as well.

Thanks, I guess it’s a time zone thing.

soundman007 wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 11:35 am Can you run 5 next to 6, or does 6 replace 5.
You can run them side by side - obviously Absynth 5 needs Rosetta though on Apple Silicon Macs and isn't a VST3, whereas Absynth 6 is VST3 but not VST2 (on Mac - don't know about Windows but I doubt it comes as VST2)
Great, good to know just as a failsafe to not loose the sounds used in old sessions.
