There's a new ladder filter type but don't know if it's ZDF. Personally I don't care, Absynth is Absynth and it doesn't need ZDF filters to sound different and interesting.HcDoom wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 2:45 pm Is the engine same as before or we get updated high quality oscs and zdf filters?

It's an immediate purchase for me.
As well as this bundle.

A huge thank you to NI and the talented Brian.
I have a very special affection for this brand.
I'm truly delighted that NI is starting to make a comeback, and it bodes well for the future.
I recently bought a Kontrol S88 Mk3 and Maschine Mk3, and I absolutely don't regret my purchase.
I'm really very excited about the future of NI.
Even if the selling price might be high—this is just my opinion, of course—it would be a gesture of encouragement to those who have put in a colossal amount of work to create Absynth 6.
The interface of Absynth 6 reminds me of the excellent Vanguard from ReFX.

Trying the demo right now, it’s wonderful as expected. But the same heavy, sluggish feel during mutations/randomization is back and it really dampens the flow. Also, there was no option to choose where to install the 2-plus GB of content. That’s… not great.

You should be able to move the samples though - I think. At least there are paths for multiple sample folders in settings which implies it can use multiple locations - and I have it pointed to all my Absynth 5 samples which are loading fineenCiphered wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 2:53 pm Trying the demo right now, it’s wonderful as expected. No intro price? I guess because it’s not a brand new synth, it’s a sequel.

Windows version downloads fine through the same page though, so it seems NI botched it up...
EDIT: It's working now over here!

I can't wait for the complaints about the presets, as if a company shouldn't make presets that appeal to anyone but them.mholloway wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 6:07 am Looks cool to me, Absynth lives on. The people already complaining before trying it out were likely going to complain no matter what.

How can I import my own waveforms like in Absynth 5? I don't want to hear "that's not planned" or anything like that. I hope NI doesn't fail like Massive did. There's no way to import custom wavetables there either.

The Absynth 6 engine is identical to the Absynth 5 engine + several additions + improvements (new filters, high density mode for the granular, polyphonic aftertouch/MPE...)
