I cant find this information, is there a way to set random phase? Unison sounds so bad with constant retrigger

If anything, Absynth 6 is closest to Dawesome Myth, sound-wise.. Especially because of its really well-done randomization engine. But the fact that NI couldn’t expose the synth’s parameters to the DAW is such an embarrassment that it makes it almost useless for serious sound design or deep ambient work. Without proper parameter automation, its potential is basically crippled.

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, with Brian Eno himself having contributed some awesome ambient presets, this statement seems a bit exaggerated.enCiphered wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 9:16 pm ... almost useless for serious sound design or deep ambient work ...

Can you assign any parameter to macro then automate?

Eno contributing presets doesn’t change the technical reality. Presets don’t fix missing functionality.

this is really laughable as I said I dont understand how things like that are not adressed and PLAINLY IGNORED! guess Imma post a seperate topic on their forums and see if there comes a reaction.....enCiphered wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 9:16 pm If anything, Absynth 6 is closest to Dawesome Myth, sound-wise.. what really annoys me the most is the non-ability to drag and drop samples.... wt*?

You can assign parameters to the 16 available macros but Absynth only exposes a relatively small subset of parameters for macro assignment. And most macros are already pre-assigned. You can see the full list by opening the Assign tab. Anything not shown there can’t be automated. So it’s possible, but far from full parameter exposure.Touch The Universe wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 9:25 pm Can you assign any parameter to macro then automate?

Ah yes, that’s another big one. Because they rushed a release of this size just to get it out before the year ends. Having to dig through nested folders just to load a sample feels oddly prehistoric for a 2025 release.what really annoys me the most is the non-ability to drag and drop samples.... wt*?

It’s a lot of fun playing with this with its new interface I must say. I’ll probably need to stop playing in so I don’t get tempted to buy it before Komplete update.
But wait is the merged channel filter per voice? I always thought the final merged waveshapper and filter slots were not per voice, but it’s seeming like they are.
And whoever said it needed a sound update, I disagree, I think it can sound awesome in so many ways. Always been easy to fit in the mix too.
All I think it needs is direct parameter automation (and MPE assignments), and an MPE expression curve editor. Or a curve editor for any modulation with a depth actually.

The vertical stacks of three slots are per voice, the horizontal row of M1/M2/FX are global.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 11:27 pm But wait is the merged channel filter per voice? I wasn't paying attention when patching and tried to modulate M1 (waveshaper) with MPE pressure and was wondering why it sounded broken, until I realized what I'd done.
