Hive - assigning macro knobs to Ctrl A & Ctrl B

Forgive me if this is somehow in the manual but I didn't find anything that helped me uncross my eyes.
I'm new to using Hive2 and in most of the presets I'm seeing under usage "Ctrl A = reverb" or "Ctrl B = delay" I'm familiar with using the modwheel but I have no clue what knob defaults to Ctrl A CC#2 and Ctrl B CC#11. I'm trying to assign those to a macro knob in Ableton 12.
How do I map Ctrl A/B to a custom macro button in ableton? Thank you!

I mostly understand that part, it's just I'm not sure how to actually control those using an external controller like my APC40 with Ableton's Macros. I know how to get any of the visual Hive knobs mapped. But when it comes to CTRL A/B i'm either missing where it's located or just plain lost.

Thank you, I've seen the settings and where I can manually change it per instance. But the thing is when I turn a knob on my APC 40 in midi map mode, 1 of the 8 device control knobs which are usually easy to just map to visual buttons of the synth. There doesn't appear to actually be a CTRL A/B knob. So even if I change CTRL A to Midi CC #23 (which is knob 8 of the APC 40's device controls) it's not actually doing anything. Maybe I'm confused on how the CTRL A/Bs work. But I wish there was a giant knob corresponding to it like all the other ones. In some of the presets I can see that CTRL A is assigned to X1 or Y1 for example. But not all of them are done that way. I was trying to find a way to globally adjust CTRL A while still browsing the presets.

Since you're using Ableton, try inserting a CC control device before Hive, and map one of the knobs to the CC number corresponding to CTRL A/B. Then try mapping that knob to your controller.
I agree that the CTRl A/B system that Uhe implements isn't well thought of when it comes to control surfaces.

Thank youuuuu!!! Worked! That's an easy workaround and much easier to have as a global Hive control.

Urs mentioned something about control surfaces and macros. Sorry, but I can't find where I read it. A summary is that they go back and forth about this. He mentioned that some preset designers won't do patches with macro assignments at all (I've noticed that).
