I’ve released a new MIDI FX plugin called VEX from my small studio, Extrasensory.
To celebrate the first release of Extrasensory I am giving away a few licenses free: https://www.extrasensory.studio/kvraudio
You can also find details on the KVR product page:
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/vex-ex ... trasensory
About the plugin:
VEX sits on a MIDI track and transforms incoming CC into more expressive control data using simple physics models (gravity, springs, curves, jitter, note-triggered motion). The idea is to turn any generic MIDI controller into something that behaves more like a performance instrument, and to get away from rigid, linear controller moves.
Key points
• Physics-based processing for MIDI CC: gravity, springs, curves, jitter, note triggers
• Multiple lanes with independent mappings
• Works with any plugin / hardware that responds to MIDI CC
• Designed for low-latency live use and sound design
Formats / support
• macOS (Intel / Apple Silicon), Windows 64-bit
• VST3 (AU/other formats if applicable – adjust as needed)
Links
• Overview + download (14-day trial):
https://www.extrasensory.studio/
I’m very interested in feedback from people who live in MIDI-heavy workflows (performance, mod routing, generative setups, etc.). If you run into any DAW-specific quirks or have ideas for additional modes/shaping, I’m listening.

Can you control polyphonic aftertouch with it? Asking for a friend... If it can fine tune velocity sensitivity on my controller to my liking I'm in.

Ah, crash to desktop on both reaper and waveform on windows 10.
Maybe I'm missing a certain font or redistributable or whatever you call them?

Not currently but I am already planning to add an update to include pitch bend control. I will look into including polyphonic aftertouch also. I'll keep you posted.Cuauhtli wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 9:03 pm Can you control polyphonic aftertouch with it? Asking for a friend... One note for Windows 10 users: VEX MIDI EXPRESSION uses Microsoft's WebView2 for its user interface. On Windows 11, this is pre-installed, but on Windows 10 it may not be present.
Please try installing the Microsoft WebView2 Runtime from the official download site:

Web view is installed but daw still shuts down. No crash report by Reaper so it seems to be a Windows issue. Maybe I'm missing fonts or it's my GPU or some other redistributable I'm missing. I haven't noticed issues with my other plugins though.

You can now find an updated Windows download on the product page that should address this issue. Thank you!

Thank you, extrasensory.
Unfortunately I have probably the same problem as Cuauhtli: in Windows 10 with Web View 2 installed, ver.1.0.20 crashes Kushview Element and Bespoke Synth as hosts, and loads but refuses to show the GUI in Reaper.
I'm keen to try the plugin and hopefully give some more interesting feedback.

Hi zapfding thank you for your patience.
Does it crash immediately on load, or after the UI tries to display?
While I investigate further, can you try the following:
Ensure that the Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime is updated or installed on your computer. You can do this by navigating to the Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program, finding Microsoft Edge Webview2 Runtime, and repairing it. If it's not installed, you can download it from WebView2 Microsoft Edge Developer: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/m ... /webview2/
Thank you

Hi, yes, VEX VST3 ver.1.0.20 is recognised and loads with a generic UI in Reaper, but immediately crashes the DAW when the plug-in UI is invoked. This happens with the latest Webview2 update.
