Hi all,

I am trying to get my head around the many crazy features in this synth. Pretty overwhelming :ud: !
I was looking into Fluid Sines patch. I'm remonbing all modulations and oscillator FX (I think?) to focus on Osc 1 and I don't understand how the 2 curves on the Morph line produce the sines waveform.
Could someone please explain to me what I'm missing?

Thanks!

The lines represent a spectrum, not a waveform (above the word SOURCE, there are two icons: a small sine wave and a bar graph, if the bar graph is selected as in your screenshot, that means the curve you draw represents a spectrum, otherwise it shows a waveform).
Your white curve shape consists of two peaks, one at "1" (the fundamental) and one near "4" (approximately the third overtone). That creates a sine with an additional upper partial. This is exactly what the wavy orange line in your waveform display shows.
If you click on the sine wave icon near the word "SOURCE", you'll get as a waveform what you're drawing.

Makes sense! Thanks a lot for your help.
While I'm at it, would you be able to point me to a good tutorial/explanation of how the curve filtering works using the Guides? Looking at Alien Escapist and I'd like to understand how the different frequencies of the Osc1 get filtered using the sawtooths guide.

Just putting up some links to Zebralette 3 sound design tutorials.
Zebralette 3 is basically what one of Zebra 3's main oscillators consists of, so you can take these tutorials as a rough guideline for creating almost arbitrary wave forms, wave tables and spectra with Zebra 3.
Some of those videos address the topic of spectral/additive synthesis, others employ different methods of waveshaping.

Have fun!
