This 13th pack has 1,216 audio samples (1,14 GB) from 5 Public Domain horror movies and 1 serial. For this simple demo, I first improvised a track on Phonolyth Shoom synthesizer and then put a few samples on top of it to create this spooky ambience!

Intro price is $10 USD (50% off):

Audio editor shown is Auditor from Living Memory Software. Note that the samples are mono even if the waveform of the first track is displayed as stereo. I did the initial montage in LumaFusion video editor and it converted the track automatically.

Second demo! Certainly a fun minute!

Three samples are looped in Kymatica AUM, the first one plays continuously and the 2 others are mixed in and out. Other samples were added on a second track in the video editor. Aside from channel 1 and 3 that have reverb (Eventide Blackhole), all samples are dry.

Doug Woods from The Sound Test Room featured and reviewed MC 13 in this live stream a few days ago.

He created some wild loops and ambiences in AUM using only a few samples , Sugar Bytes Drum Computer, KV331 Synthmaster One and a few FX processors.

Here's a short, dramatic and dark excerpt from Doug's video (54 seconds).

Ambient SFX soundscape created with samples from Memory Collection 13 - Vintage horror Movies in James Milton Poly 2 generative sequencer. Speech sample is from Memory Collection 05 - SciFi.

Each color represents a different sample and in most cases, it’s only a short part of the sample that is looped and two samples are not looped.

In fact I just replaced the samples of one of the factory presets with my own, tweaking the loop points to make them fit better.

50% off intro offer extended until Sep 5th, 2022! See first post.

Doug (TSTR) also mangled a few samples from MC 13 in the marvelous Samplr multitouch sampler (iOS) from Marcos Alonso. Here's an edit I made from his longer video.

He is remixing and messing up 5 samples. I have added the yellow text that identifies 4 parts of Samplr.

Second edit from Doug's longer video above.
Here, he not only used audio FXs on the samples to further increase their LoFi and creepy character, but used Sugar Bytes Drumcomputer, KV331 Audio Synthmaster and Audiomodern Riffer to layer a techno beat!

Last chance to take advantage of the introductory price of $10 USD (50% off). It will end sometime tomorrow!

Just curious, if I purchase this and possibly a couple of other memory packs, are you told which films they come from? Looked at your site and didn’t see them listed. Some cool images from the films are on your site, it would be fun to chop up the films and add your audio.

Looking at MC16, for example, there's some info in the PDF, but its not exhaustive; it names some of the films and series used ("The Cocoanuts", "Space Patrol"), but just alludes to the others ("a Scifi movie from 1936 with Bela Lugosi", "from a police show"), and doesnt name the ads used.

For MC10, it doesnt name anything specific "4 movie horror/Sci-Fi and 1 monster movie, 19 TV show episodes including 13 from 1950's Sci-Fi shows, 11 documentaries including 4 on the subject of sound recording and 70 ads"

There's also detail on the file naming scheme, which helps know which samples came from the same source, but doesnt necessarily identify that source.

Zvon might have more info, but that's the sort of info I can see quickly looking at a couple of the packs.
Set Theory claim:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate.
Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"

Hi beegee,

Thanks for your interest in the Memory Collection Packs!
To answer your question, I've been asked 3 or 4 times for a list of all the source films in the packs over the years. I only managed to make it up-to-date last month.

At the moment, it is not publicly announced but I make it available on request to those who purchase or have purchased Memory Collection packs.

So, if you buy one or more packs, you can either ask for the list (Excel spreadsheet) in the message with your purchase via PayPal, or reply to my email when I send you the download links.

Previous buyers can email me and ask for it.

Also, as whyterabbit stated, samples from a specific source share the same 2 or 3 first letters of their names to easily regroup them if needed.

Thanks very much for replying.

I’ll purchase this later today, (I want to checkout the other packs first) and will do as you suggest and request the film names.

Cool, thanks for your support!

You probably already have seen this but, I will take this occasion to mention to everyone reading this that my Holidays sale is on and all individual packs are 50% off and the complete 16 packs bundle is $85 ($45 off), equivalent to 64% off total price of individual packs at the regular price.

Thanks, just bought 4. Yes, great prices. I do recognise how much time you’ve spent compiling these packs. I just want them for fun, think they’ll go well with my Omnisphere 3 experimentations.

Forgot to add the comment in PayPal about film names.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
