man...NI really opened the pocketbook on this one...I am getting the absynth commercial on every social media feed like 10 times an hour lol...I've never had this happen for a plugin release before...I dont know if its desperation or an attempt at rebranding,...but the ad spend seems crazy lol
Music had a one night stand with sound design.....And the condom broke

I did end up getting it, even though I wish they had added more enhancements, even if they were the same algorithms from Massive X's filter selection. My updated wish list...

Unison spread for oscillators.
Filter algorithms from Massive X
Two more effect slots with some bread and butter effects.
MPE response curves, as well as bipolar slide.
UI enhancements to communicate interaction cues.
Zerocrossing Media

I'm even seeing influencers posting about it on Bluesky, of all places.

I would include:
Larger edit window for editing samples.
Bring back saved presets for the Effects, filters and the waveshaper.

I'm not super interested in Absynth itself, but it's promising to see they apparently developed a new, modernized framework for releasing synths. Which hopefully means there is potential for updates to other classics as well using the same underlying platform -- or am I reading too much into it?

These two things are likely never gonna happen. First because Brian wants to use his DSP only and second because Absynth is never gonna be a bread and butter synth, nor was it intended to. :D

Click on ‘Hz’ above the cutoff and choose’Transpose’.
Ah, thanks. I couldn't find that in the manual. It also shines a light on how bad a lot of modern UI design is. If something is a data input and not just a label, there should be some graphic indication that this is the case.
You're welcome. Yeah, it would be helpful to have an indication that a label can be clicked for more options.

It does have a mouse hover color change effect tho, at least. Agreed it should be a bit more apparent tho.

I miss the coarse, medium, and fine parameter value control that the 3 diamonds provided in previous versions of Absynth, and no keyboard modifers needed. Still, it's great that Absynth is alive and kickin', and there are some welcome improvements too.

Some issues I've noticed:

- Envelope breakpoint velocity control isn't working.

- You can't right-click on the oscillator waveform to access modulation for wave morph. This was possible in Absynth 5.

- In the fractilize osc you can't change the unison detuning, unless you change to a different osc type and turn up the unison voices for that, then change back to fractilize.

I've reported the first two to NI support. When they reply I'll let them know about the last one.

True, but yeah, could be better.

Yes, bring back presets for the modules and channels, indeed.
Osc unison spread would be nice too.

The weird thing is they are being installed so I would hope they plan to add back a way to use and save them

They already know about Fractalize detune, it's in known issues, fixed for next update.

Anything that is marked as MISSING in changelog is known and planned to return.

Unison spread is already there, though?
