Imagine this folks:
I'm mastering a song that i've split into stems (via SpectraLayers).
So i have the bassline on its own track.
I've decided that the freq. response of the bass part is wrong. Maybe it has too much fundamental and not enough harmonics. Or conversely, perhaps too many harmonics but not enough fundamental.
Now, i can go ahead an EQ or multiband it or whatever, but that's not going to work well, because, as the bass line notes move around, so will the frequency at which the EQ needs to work.
So basically what I'm asking is: anyone know of an EQ or other spectral processor that will detect the fundamental of my bass in real time, and move the corner frequency of my EQ or multiband or whatever accordingly, as the bassline moves around?
Thanks in advance!
