Yeah, they're actually quite different IMO. The MO certainly has a wider range with all the added features, but I don't think it has the wide sweet spot for 303 sounds that the TD-3 has. IOW, the MO wants to go way outside the typical 303 range with little coaxing. Honestly, I think I prefer the wide 303 sweet spot of the TD-3 over the more extreme range of the MO, but it's nice to have the entire range of both.McLilith wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 9:26 pm Since you have both a TD-3 and a TD-3 MO, would you say they're different enough to own both? Can the basic TD-3 do anything the MO version would struggle to replicate?

Why haven’t I seen people buy six of these and chain them together like Woody McBride and friends did at Stairway to Headphones in 199something … (it’s getting hazy at this point)

I’ve got both and agree they sound different but I tend to use the MO because it can take cv/gate and MIDI but the standard TD-3 is MIDI only. Unless you are happy with using the built in sequencer of course which I 100% am not.

I just took a look online, and saw the Lyra-4 and Lyra-8 drone synths in mint green. I like the color.Constructed Identity wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:19 pmSOMA laboratorys has a lovely mint green like on my Cosmos looper.

Naturally, the green one sounds best, because Limes are more "Acid-ic" than the others.Constructed Identity wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:32 pmI heard the GREEN one sounds the bestcryophonik wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:20 pmYeah, they're actually quite different IMO. Yeah, I'm surprised I haven't seen some Youtube video where someone used one of every different TD-3 color to create a track. Surely, someone has done that by now?

Deposits for the second batch of K-Accumulator opened up yesterday and haven't sold out yet. I put in mine within a few minutes of the email... didn't even watch the new video until a couple of hours later. But it just keeps looking/sounding better and better:

My Grape RD-6 arrived today, and I think it's tasty!
.

.
I'm tempted to open it up in the future and install some LEDs inside the translucent case, just to highlight its rich violet color.

I put a pre-order in just before the second batch sold out... Foosnark and his incessant temptations!foosnark wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 8:16 pm Deposits for the second batch of K-Accumulator opened up yesterday and haven't sold out yet.
I don't have any space for it, lol. I'm considering building a small standalone system around the K-Accumulator. I also ordered a Rung Divisions, so maybe those with another Maths or Tides or some kind of function generator and some weird filter or effects module. Something that could fit in a Pod64x... We'll see.
