Hey! It's been a long while since we've heard from you. I'm glad to hear that you are doing ok! A lot has changed (and yet everything is still the same). Many of us are now using Linux. It is estimated (based on the yearly OS surveys I do), that about 10% of KVR uses Linux. Is there any chance you could compile your products for Linux as well?tweakbench wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 7:47 am Hey everyone! I'm back. After nearly 20 years away, I've finally gotten back into making plugins (and coding in general). Wow, here's the big updates:
- I've updated and reworked all 22 of the Tweakbench plugins to C++
- All plugins are now native for AU and VST3 on Apple Silicon and VST3 on x64 Windows
- All plugins are now at version 4.0, and many had significant reworking of internals
- No old presets or patches will work with the new versions, but there are new presets now!
- I've relaunched a new tweakbench.com website for purchases and account management
- Still no DRM, still efficient, no-nonsense wacky collection of plugins
If you previously purchased the Tweakbench Bundle of the 3.0 plugins, email support@tweakbench.com and I'll find some way to get upgrades going. For everyone else, I've created a relaunch coupon code "KVR2025" for 20% off any purchases through the end of the year!
I'm excited to be back, and most excited that I now have a stable cross-platform development setup for making new plugins!
After nearly 20 years.. Tweakbench returns

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

yeah.. the site just went live last night, so i’m sure it’ll take some time for google to reindex it.paradiddle wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 9:53 pm Hello, welcome back! I remember your plugins cuz the unique GUI style. I pasted tweakbench.com in google search by accident and you site pops up at the top of the list with the following headlines: "Tweakbench - Unique 32bit VST Plugins for Windows DAW ..."
Cheers!

Oh sure! I didn’t even think about it. I’ve built them in the JUCE framework, so it shouldn’t be hard to compile Linux versions. What plugin format is most popular on Linux right now? CLAP, LV2 or VST3?audiojunkie wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 10:03 pm Hey! It's been a long while since we've heard from you. I'm glad to hear that you are doing ok! Fantastic!! VST3 will probably be best, since not all DAWs support CLAP or LV2. Thank you! Glad to have you back!tweakbench wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 1:00 amOh sure! I didn’t even think about it. Ok another Linux question. What builds would be ideal? x86_64, ARM64 (aarchlinux), or both?
I have them running in Ardor on Ubuntu on ARM already

I’ll get some new mp3 samples recorded, once I get Apple code signing and Linux builds working.

This is great, Tweakbench stuff and Elegoxa Sun Ra were the very first plugins I downloaded when I started making computer music in 2006. Now that they're on Mac too I'll consider picking up the bundle. All the best!

Nice! X86_64 (64bit) for sure. The others can be at your discretion.tweakbench wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 10:03 pm Ok another Linux question. What builds would be ideal? x86_64, ARM64 (aarchlinux), or both?

Ok. Linux VST3 plugins for x86_64 systems are now in all the plugin zips. Please let me know if there's any issues, as I can only test them via a virtual machine!

I have another question....... Nowadays, many of us have moved to HiDPI / 4K high resolution monitors. Do these plugins scale up for high resolution screens? Plugins that don't are about the size of a postage stamp on my screen, and unusable. After some thought, I figured it was a pretty important question to ask.
