I put a new song in my music website called "Clear to See" (it's the song on top). Please tell me how you like the song, and how it can be improved, and I will return the favor (leave me a link if you don't have a recent thread). Here is my link:

I guess this is my Thanksgiving treat. Anyway, great bass riff. Love it. One thing I noticed about your songs. I don't always get all the lyrics. Of course part of that has to do with my hearing loss. But your songs, for the most part are very wordy. You cram a lot of lyrics into a short space. Plus the way you process your vocals (I assume some distortion or saturation on them) also makes it hard for me. Again, this is all on me and I'm sure other people have no problem.

All that said, one doesn't listen to your songs for the lyrics. They listen to them for the infectious beats, riffs and melodies. This song is no exception. I could listen to your stuff all day. It is so catchy in a very cool sort of way.

One other thing I noticed. Your drum programming has gotten much better over the years. These last 2 songs (especially the one before this that I'm listening to now) really kick ass.

One of these days (and I don't know how we'd do it) we need to collaborate on something. Maybe I write some lyrics in your style and you do something with them. Think about it. It might be fun or it might turn into a disaster. LOL

Anyway, great tune. Thoroughly enjoyed the listen.

Very catchy and upbeat song! I also love the bass line and playing. I also like the spacy guitar and the solo. The bass is a little forward in the mix but I like that. Nicely done! Happy Thanksgiving!

wagtunes,
Thank you for listening, and commenting! I appreciate it! My vocals sound rather weak if I don't do my usual double tracking, or my pseudo double tracking. And if I don't add some distortion to my vocals, they get lost in the mix, unless I play my vocals "too loud". Sometimes, I add soundtoys microshift effect to make my vocals sound more "full". Unfortunately, all of these techniques makes it more difficult to decipher the lyrics; it's not just your hearing. Sometimes, on some of my songs that are not very new, I can't decipher all of my own lyrics, even though I wrote them. Haha. Though there are some famous bands that are amongst my favorite, and I can't decipher all of their lyrics either.

Tell me about it. I can't figure out the lyrics to half the songs I've heard in my life, with "Spill The Wine" right at the top of the list. LOL

Very cool as always ☻. Lots of nice playing and soloing. I find the bass overpowers everything though. It is a great bass part but mixed like we are in the bass solo section of a song. It can still be a show off part of the track but needs to let the drums through especially. That groove would be better, in my opinion, if the bass and drums breathed together. All that said i enjoyed and appreciate the skill.
