Hi, I posted one of my songs on bandcamp, and am not sure what genre it is (Synthwave perhaps?). If you have a couple minutes, let me know what genre you think it is.

Also, I'd be interested to hear if you would've mixed/mastered it any differently? Please go easy on me though; this is a hobby for me, so I can't dedicate extreme amounts of time. I already know I'm not the best at mixing & mastering, and I tend to intentionally favor crisp high frequencies, but if something sounds way off to you, please feel free to give your opinions.

Can't believe this hasn't gotten any love yet. Anyway, sounds good to me. I'm not going to nit pick on the mix because nothing is so horribly out of place that it needs to be addressed. As for the genre, sounds like a late 80s, early 90s pop tune ala Janet Jackson. Go listen to some of her stuff like Escapade. It would fit right in.

Thanks so much for listening! Yeah the vocals and beat are intentionally "pop", but I thought the heavy use of more techno-influened synths might push it to another category. Agreed that some Janet and Madonna songs have a few poppy synths, so I guess it's a fine line.
