Fyler ACID information

I recently bought Fyler and I'm enjoying it. I was wondering about its display of ACID information. I'm reasonably certain that there is tempo data in some of my loop WAV files but Fyler always shows it as "0.000". Is that a bug or is it accurate and all the software I use that imports and exports the files simply calculates the tempo on the fly and never really uses it?

Hi pough,

thanks for reporting this problem! Indeed there was a bug when reading the tempo from the ACID chunk. I have uploaded an update (v1.2.3) with the fix.

Thanks,
Attila

I want to add that Fyler allows me to enter that information if it's empty, but not if the information already exists. Or at least I can't find a way to edit already-existing metadata. Maybe Fyler isn't meant to be a metadata editor, but I would definitely appreciate if it was. At least one time I put in the wrong number of beats.

Speaking of which, Fyler locks files - even ones that it only plays. So if I play an audio file in Fyler and then open it for editing in Sound Forge, I can't save the edited file unless I close Fyler completely. I don't know if that's a Fyler thing or a system thing.

Well, Fyler does not keep the audio files locked. Which file format did you use? I tried to play back WAV, then opened the same file in Audacity and I was able to overwrite it while Fyler was running.

The file locking thing isn't really a concern for me. I'm assuming it's not related to Fyler and it's easy to work around. What I'm most interested in is having the ability to edit the metadata. If that's not something that you want to add to Fyler, that's fine. But I did want to make sure I get the request in.

To be clear, I would like to be able to edit metadata like Beats, Tempo and Time Signature. Right now I can add the info if it doesn't already exist but I can't change it.
