I don't think it's really in the same category as the other ones bring discussed. I see Spire as a great subtractive synth with limited wavetables, and what makes it great is that it's not trying to do everything. People call it dated, but I love the workflow more than almost anything out there._leras wrote: Tue Dec 16, 2025 6:35 am Is Spire a monster synth? I've picked that up in the last year and quite like it.

Spire 2 could conceivably be "monstrous" with a big pile of new features and an interface overhaul, but I just don't see Reveal ever actually attempting that. Their latest Cool New Thing was an AI-driven preset randomizer, and by all accounts it was a confusing mess. If it turns out they've been keeping sophisticated spectral warping effects in their back pocket, I'll buy a hat... and eat it.
Okay, new theory: Phase Plant will become "Phase Plan3t" and make every modulator and generator three dimensional (one better than the 2D LFOs in Serum 2) and the whole interface will be in VR, with virtual keys that orbit around black holes and white holes and you have to perform complicated slingshot maneuvers to actually reach them and play music.

I hate signatures too.

Who needs a monster synth, if there is a monster DAW already? https://www.monsterdaw.com/

I don’t see it. Are you a Pigments 6 owner or something else? The image you sent is not coming up on my end either

AFAIR there’s a smaller Massive X update around the corner (I hope, anyway
), enabling direct DAW automation and possibly more. And kHz have been working on Phase Plant 3 for a while, with audio in, a vocoder, and a new cloud preset system.
Either way, happy times ahead.

Is this the first paid Pigments upgrade? I don’t remember what version I bought originally but I think I’ve been getting major releases for a while
