Just stumbled across this. FWIW the demo video sounds kind of holy grail for those who are into such things. I've used the polyphonic version Melodyne for this with mixed results - sometimes quite usable, but other times, loads of ghost notes, hell to clean up. This has a 21 day demo, I will try out this weekend. Requires a DAW which supports ARA 2. Meanwhile curious to hear impressions of others who've tried it.

thanks for the heads-up... if the video is to be trusted, it sure sounds incredible. unfortunately none of my DAWs support ARA.

Interesting! Only $69, with a free trial. If it's accurately polyphonic, this could be useful. Thanks for the heads-up.
And I agree with you about Melodyne.

Hmmm. Just tried to run Prism within Sonar, am getting an "ARA host isn't detected" message. Have written to Prism's dev's support. Luna isn't seeing it, either.

In Studio One V7 for PC, Prism says "ARA host isn't detected. This plugin only supports ARA mode."
Melodyne loads as expected, of course.
Not ready for prime time yet, I guess.

Which DAWs are supported?
Prism supports AU and VST3 plugin formats and requires a DAW that supports ARA2.
IMPORTANT: Your host DAW must support ARA2.
Prism is known to work with Reaper, Studio One, Cubase/Nuendo, Logic Pro (under Rosetta), and Cakewalk Sonar.

I'm curious to see how well it works with guitarist who isn't as meticulous as Tommy Emmanuel or John Frusciante.
I just tested it in reaper with built in laptop mic (voice - monophonic), and the tracking seems really good. Seems to take a fraction of a second to lock in. First note was clearly a semitone flat and a few 100ms late. The rest was flawless.

u simply have the wrong daw to use it, so rather complain about the devs of your dawGreyLion wrote: Thu Dec 18, 2025 12:56 am Same message in Mixcraft 10.6 Pro Studio.
I don't see how they can be making any sales if this many DAWs won't run their plug.

I think the point of this thread so far is that it doesn't seem to work in multiple ARA-enabled DAWS, including two of the five that the devs say it does.

Update: Eureka! The dev got back with me, sending me this link
https://docs.aurallysound.com/blog/ara_ ... setup_daws
which shows how to set it up in Reaper, Cubase, Studio One, Logic and Cakewalk Sonar. I've got it working Sonar. So far tested it with an EP and a rhythm guitar - so far, so very, very good.
I will give the dev a friendly nudge to post a link to that on the Prism product page. As it stands, it's on the "Blog" page of another product - not exactly obvious...
